Happy Hour Replay: Will Stefon Diggs reach his breaking point?

Bills-Dolphins. This AFC East title game is loaded with drama from both points of view.
Stefon Diggs could combust for 150 yards and two touchdowns. To reach the Super Bowl, Buffalo unquestionably needs their star wide receiver — in full. This game could also serve as a tipping point for a messy offseason. Much is at stake.
Jordan Love vs. Justin Fields. Is the Green Bay Packers quarterback capable of overcoming a potential defensive calamity? Whereas last season’s Week 18 game at Lambeau Field felt like The End, this one could be The Beginning of something special. The grass was always green on the other side.
How should the Chicago Bears, armed with the No. 1 pick, proceed at quarterback? Fields has played better of late, but let’s not forget the tension from earlier this season. It was telling. And it’s worth noting the revamped power structure.
The Philadelphia Eagles’ sinking ship.
Miami’s injuries.
Aaron Rodgers theatrics.
Everything is discussed on our latest Happy Hour with Go Long subscribers from across the country. Thank you to everyone who carved out an hour and a half on a Friday night — sharp questions/thoughts the entire session. We’ll record many more of these into the offseason. What a great chance for us to hang out — often with a former NFL player, too. This episode, my podcast co-host Jim Monos joined the call and shared his always-excellent insight. You’ll get a front-office perspective on all the above.

Ty & Bob Pod: The Brian Gutekunst Debate
Beat the Chicago Bears at Lambeau Field and they’re in the playoffs at 9-8.
Here on the “Ty & Bob Pod,” we have an overdue disagreement on the general manager central to the entire operation. Co-host Bob McGinn views Brian Gutekunst as an “average” GM. I say he’s well above average, one of the six or seven best in charge. Let’s not forget draft night in 2020. Not many in charge possess the brass cojones to select a quarterback out of Utah State when Aaron Rodgers is on the roster.
From there, we dive into the Packers’ win. McGinn explains why Green Bay can beat anyone playing like this. He also believes the team should keep Jaire Alexander (the subject of last week’s pod) on the bench with how both corners are fighting.
We look ahead to Week 18. This is a sneaky-talented Bears team.
Minnesota’s decision to start quarterback Jaren Hall backfired — miserably — but both Packers lines dominated the line of scrimmage. Zach Tom continues to look like one of the best offensive tackles in the NFL.
Elsewhere, yes, the Detroit Lions were hosed in Dallas. We discuss the NFL’s latest officiating embarrassment. The Lions’ pass rush is hanging on for dear life with aging pickups such as Bruce Irvin and Tyson Alualu. They desperately need bodies back to take some heat off of Aidan Hutchinson.
As always, we gauge the Lions’ title hopes. This is all business at the right time.

Ty & Bob Pod: Why the Packers will win in Dallas
Trusty co-host Bob McGinn does not make predictions. He didn’t as my colleague at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and usually steers clear of grandiose prognostications here at Go Long.
Until now.
Yes, McGinn sees the seventh-seeded Green Bay Packers winning in Dallas this weekend. It’ll be close. He expects many points scored. But you won’t want to miss ...
