#74 Alieta Casey [A Warm and Welcoming Home for the Holidays]
Ready or not...it’s time to start thinking about the holidays! I’m joined by Alieta Casey who is filling us in on how we can create a warm and welcoming home this season!
Alieta shops at garage sales for unique pieces to decorate her home and started sharing her finds on Instagram for fun. She has gained a lot of traction and now uses her platform not only to share home décor ideas, but to pass on what God is teaching her. Alieta compares her treasure hunting to the gospel saying, “finding something that is old or broken or thrown out by somebody else...you take it and make it something beautiful and give it a place of honor in your home. Isn’t that what God has done for us?”

#76 Anna Nash [Why Christmas Matters]
Anna and I are chatting about experiencing Christmas in a new, fresh way this year. Anna tells us that if we want to move from the familiar experience of Christmas to something deeper and more meaningful, we first need to recognize our need for God, reflect on the current needs of our soul. And second, Anna says we need to come with an expectant spirit, asking God to show us more of Him or something new about the story, and He will.
We talk about keeping the message of the gospel at the forefront of our mind and reminding ourselves of our identity in Christ daily. Anna gives us some practical ways to do that.
Anna shares about the book she’s co-authored with her childhood friend Katie Shelton, Christmas Matters: How the Birth of Jesus Makes a Difference Every Day. This devotional walks you through the 24 chapters of Luke leading up to Christmas day.
Anna goes on to share a few of her favorite Christmas traditions and of course...her Favorite 5!
Anna Nash is an entrepreneur who has a passion for helping people find God’s calling in life and in work. As a Life Coach, Anna is the director of Beacon People which guides, connects and launches people into higher purpose living. She resides in Birmingham, Alabama, and is married to Tyler. They have 4 grown children and own Innova Coffee, a place where Anna loves to share a fresh cup of coffee and a warm conversation.
