Geopats: expats and internationals - NaPodPoMo: Year 2: Day 27: Musical Storyteller, Damon Castillo

NaPodPoMo: Year 2: Day 27: Musical Storyteller, Damon Castillo

Geopats: expats and internationals

Today we are happily breaking our NaPodPoMo previous guest format for a special interview. I had the extreme pleasure of chatting with Damon Castillo for this episode. Yes, THE Damon Castillo of the Mess of Me album that we've been using for the past 2 years in all of the Geopats Podcast Network shows. We talk about the longevity of the Damon Castillo Band, his geopatness, my favorite song on the Mess of Me Album (Saint Cecilia), his recording studio in San Luis Obispo, what music he listens to and some creative struggles. Thank you Damon for taking the time to come on the podcast AND for letting us use these tunes for the network.

NaPodPoMo: Year 2: Day 26: The Importance of Passwords and Toilets with Comedian Andy Curtain of Ho Ho Hong Kong Podcast

What was your first online habit? Yesterday we heard from Comedian Andy Curtain about what he's been up to since we chatted last year. In today's episode, we dive into a 10 minute clip from that original conversation/episode with Andy on Geopats Online, where we track how people's onlineness changes when their location changes. And yes, as you can see from the title of this episode, we hit on all important online (and offline?) innovations along the way.

NaPodPoMo: Year 2: Day 28: Back to China with Miicher of the China Chronicles

Have you ever gone back to a place that you struggled in the first time? Would you ever? Our guest today is my dear friend Miicher and she did just this. The first time we chatted was in December 2018 on Geopats Reflections. We were both living in Shanghai, China and if I am honest, we were both ready to leave. However, after returning to Florida, USA, she had a change of mind and went back to China this month. I don't want to spoil what led her to this decision, what she's doing there or any other juicy details because she tells her story way better than I ever could. So have a listen to Miicher fill us in on what's happened for her over the past 2 years AND what she thinks of her 2018 China expat self in this reflective conversation. And thanks Miicher, for taking the time out of your super busy work day to record this convo!
