Personality Differences | Deconstruction E4
10/12/23 • 32 min
Personality conflicts are an unavoidable part of living in relationship with each other. In this episode, Pastor Bob and Pastor Phil discuss how personality differences can lead to conflict, pain and division if we let them. How much of our struggle with Church and Church leaders is a result of clashing personalities? Could the way we feel towards others who are not like us play a factor as well?
For us to have unity in the Church, we need to be consider how God has wired each of us differently and work to understand and appreciate our differences. We welcome you into the conversation as we talk about those differences, while also examining ourselves in humility. Our hope is to see the members of the body of Christ build each other back up.
ABOUT THIS SERIES:
Deconstruction. Over the past decade, this word has invaded evangelical circles. Yet, if ask 100 different people to define what it means, you might get 100 different answers. There are a lot of definitions and experiences wrapped up in this term, and with that a lot of confusion. In this series, we want to be sensitive to the word and the topic of "deconstruction" while trying to understand what it is and how it is impacting the Christian Church today.

Why Obstacles? | 10.8.23 | Pastor Bob Tome
From the series "Called Out of Comfort: The Book of Jonah"
Jonah 1:4-17 | Obstacles. We experience them and question, “Why now?” We hope they quickly go away. God has designed obstacles to get our attention. He wants to keep us on course with him. He wants to use obstacles to bring us back into fellowship with Himself and others.
We view obstacles as bad and annoying. These untimed “thorns in our side” that bring discomfort. God loved Jonah as much as Nineveh. And when Jonah got off course, God was going to bring obstacles into his life to bring him back.
