Roslyn Kind On Game Changers With Vicki Abelson
I reached out to Roslyn Kind to uplift and inspire. I knew she’d deliver, but at the time I didn’t know it’d be personal. I came into the conversation feeling weary and listless. Within minutes my energy and mood soared. What a positive, focused, bundle of joy, this gorgeous, talented, dynamo is. Committed to her calling, as was revealed to her in a past life regression, Rozzie heals with her stunning voice, and her loving, kind, compassionate words. Yes, we talked about her sister Barbara Streisand, their brother and mother, her nephew Jason Gould, Elliot Gould, her first album, cut as she was removing her high school graduation gown, her game-changing performance on Ed Sullivan, appearing on Broadway, and TV, her great work on The Nanny! But, we focused on her humanity, how’s she’s coping in this crazy world, politically, pandemically, nutritionally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Filled with hope, and committed to making a difference, Rozzie’s steadfast diligence and discipline for her own well-being make her quest to better the world seem... doable. She does it with her music––her cover of Laura Nyro’s Save The Country is a timely, sexy, urgent, call to action. https://bit.ly/3gU4aas, and by walking her talk, in ways big and small. On the world stage, and one to one. Since the broadcast, I’ve been bombarded with messages and emails of stories of Rozzie’s thoughtfulness. Random acts of kindness that no one else sees, which earn her nothing, except, a ticket to heaven, which she maintains can be right here on earth if we’d just love each other. I love Rozzie. And, thanks to her fine example, I’m feeling more loving towards everyone. Except the idiot, and Putin, on that, we agree. Rozzie is Brooklyn’s best chicken soup for the pandemic weary battered soul––warm, tasty, and guaranteed to make you feel better. Help yourself to an earful. Anson Williams On Game Changers With Vicki Abelson
I know of no one savvier about getting it done and moving forward than actor, director, inventor, innovator, mentor, treasured friend, and Golden Globe Nominee for Happy Days, Anson Williams. Anson's wisdom has been invaluable to me, and he shared loads of it with us. And, fantastic stories––how he created opportunities as a kid, and then with Garry Marshall, Ron Howard, Steven Speilberg, QVC, the IPs he’s developing now, and his lifesaving, Alert Drops, created with his 2nd cousin Henry Heimlich. Anson shared about the people who’ve shaped and inspired him, and a couple of examples of how he’s paid it forward––something he’s done all of his life and continues to do to this day, including wisdom for me––for us––shared here. Like, how to get off the couch and out of pandemic quicksand, the value of perceived failure, the three most important words (and why they are), and give what you want to get... these were just a few of the life tool gems Anson shared. Anson leads by example, just yesterday he was awarded Best Director for Viral Vingenttes by the Crown Point International Film Festival. The film also won Best Narrative Feature and Best Ensemble. Along with Donny Most, Anson’s long-time best friend since Happy Days, Anson won The Best Acting Duo Award from the International Short Film Festival for Harvest Time, which he also directed. Anson never lets grass grow, he’s always got all the burners cooking. Thanks to his not so gentle nudges, this show and I, continue to shift. I always hear Anson in my head nudging me forward. Today, thanks to the power of his example of mentorship, I tried something new, broke my routine, to shake things up and move forward. Oh, I still complained, but progress, not perfection. I couldn’t love and adore this man, more. I’m inspired anew and trust you will be, too.
