We will talk about the history and importance of the creed, as well as highlight portions of the creed, such as why the word catholic better captures the intended purpose over the term universal and more.

Nicene Creed:

We believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible. And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all worlds; God of God, Light of Light, very God of very God; begotten, not made, being of one substance with the Father, by whom all things were made. Who, for us men and for our salvation, came down from heaven, and was incarnate by the Holy Spirit of the virgin Mary, and was made man; and was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate; He suffered and was buried; and the third day He rose again, according to the Scriptures; and ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of the Father; and He shall come again, with glory, to judge the living and the dead; whose kingdom shall have no end. And we believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and Giver of life; who proceedeth from the Father and the Son; who with the Father and the Son together is worshipped and glorified; who spoke by the prophets. And we believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins; and we look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen!

G220 Radio - Ep# 434 //Finding Blessing in a Roman 1 World
play

06/14/20 • 72 min

There has been a lot of turmoil in the world in the past few months. Many Christians find themselves caught between true statements, which find their origins from anti-christian worldviews. When we read Psalm 1, we find prohibitions from seeking worldly wisdom. Psalm 1 exhorts us to find blessings in reading and apply God's law. Those who dedicate themselves to God's law because they now love God will stand in the judgment. We do this in a world that has rejected God. Learn more on this episode of G220 Radio.

G220 Radio - Ep# 445 // Examining Open Theism
play

08/25/20 • 69 min

Open Theism enters the sovereignty/free will debate, which challenges both the Arminian and Calvinistic/Augustine tradition. They claim to solve the theodicy question by claiming God does not know the future free actions of humans. However, does Open Theism answer theodicy (the problem of evil), and at what cost? The guys at G220 Radio unpack Open Theism and explain their beliefs. They will introduce their foundational prepositions of Libertarian Free Will, Process Theology, and the rejection of Greek Philosophy. Apprehend how Open Theism reinterprets God's nature, and destroys arguments for a high view of Scripture. Discover their view of presentism, and how they understand predictive prophecy.

Recently a group of Southern Baptist pastors came together to draft a resolution to abolish abortion. As in the resolution states, "since 1980, the SBC has passed many resolutions reaffirming the importance of human life at all stages of development, our repentance is still lacking as we consistently have stopped short of calling for the immediate abolition of abortion without exception or compromise"

Join us as we talk with two of these men, Pastor Clay Hall of Lake City Baptist Church in Grand Rivers, KY and Pastor Darrick Holloman HighPoint Baptist Church in Mayfield, KY

Tis the season for commencement addresses and sending all of the little graduates out into the big world. As such, graduation cards represent the climax of worldly wisdom. A few of these cards caught the attention of Natty P. with grand old messages like “Be who you are. Do what you love. Make a difference. Change the world,” or “If you can conceive it, your heart can believe it, and you can achieve it,” and not lest “Be who you are, do what you do.” Is this helpful advice for grads? Is there even anything of substance in these messages? What is the philosophical underpinning of the advice on these cards? Join us as we discuss advice for graduates from a biblical worldview.
