Heatstroke takes place when an animal is not able to adequately in a hot environment. For many animals, their normal temperature is around 38 degrees. If their core temperature elevates above 40 degrees, a variety of physiological changes occur and they may exhibit symptoms such as nausea, loss of energy, or, in the worst case scenario, seizures.
