Starving Your Flesh to Break The Covenant With Strong Holds, Relationships, & More
09/03/24 • 11 min
This weeks episode is considered a follow up of residual conversation Carolyn spoke on last week referencing Idolatry.
This episode goes a little depth about why Carolyn is deciding to fast and a few things she starting to realize or come awakened to while starting this journey of fasting.
Coming from a past rooted in idolatry while being a part of the new age practices, Carolyn realized that everyday she has to guard and protect herself against the simple things in life that are easy to idolize. Power, Fame, Success, Relationships, Materialism, Excessive Veneration of People,
All the things right??!
It’s completely OKAY to desire companionship, to desire friends, to desire a certain type of lifestyle. However, we often have to remind ourselves not to make comparisons of where we are in our lives with what others already have as a part of their lives and fall victim to worshipping what we see!
This episode also goes shortly into depth around fasting and how she has broken her fast. Bare with her a many of these ideas may be think pieces unrelated to a total storyline but more so ideas shared sparingly. To give further context to this episode it would be better enjoyed by watching the visual via YouTube: Following The Call.

This episode also goes shortly into depth around the importance of reading your Bible for yourself to gain understanding of God’s word. It’s very easy to listen to podcast shows, YouTube videos, influencers who may be leading in the Christian space. However, a reminder is needed that these people that you admire are still FLESHLY, IMPERFECT BEINGS, AS WELL.
If at any point, you find that you are investing more of your time into listening to biblical teachers rather than actually reading your Bible for yourself, it may be time to put a bookmark on how much time you spend listening to biblical teachers and ask God to lead you to learn his word for yourself. The last thing you want to do is be always learning, but never able to come to the knowledge of truth on your own.
2Timothy 3:7
“always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth.”

EP 11: Covenant With Words
In this weeks episode Carolyn addresses being concerned with guarding your heart around receiving prophetic words from anyone.
It’s extremely important to always reference your Bible when you are receiving revelation from outside the word of God!
This is something that is very common with how people fall into obsession of listening to Kingdom Spouse prophetic words which is very similar to new age tarot messages.
Just a small reminder this week to not make an idol of any preacher, teacher, or spiritual leader. ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS reference your Bible. It’s the best way to test the spirit by the spirit!
