From knowing your platform, being familiar with your draft room, and developing a strategy, there will be no reason to sit in the corner and sulk, as that draws attention in a negative way. Pre-ranking your players and having clear draft goals to get your perfect draft is sacred; don't sully it by improvising!

Simple steps to take BEFORE your draft date:

Know your platform! Do mock drafts and learn the draft product (buttons, queues, rankings, etc.)

Know your scoring! PPR, non-PPR, 1/2 point PPR, Superflex, 6 point passing TDs, etc.

Pre-rank your players outside of the platform! Have a list of your favorites and know when to jump early on them.

Know your draft room! Experienced players or noobs? Homers? Read the room, gather tendencies, pay attention to reactions during the draft.

Develop a strategy beforehand, but be flexible to what the draft gives you!

Remember, fantasy is a WEEKLY game - you need players who can win you your week.
