Carol in Mississippi was so scared when she joined us last year. She was terrified she'd get stuck with a house nobody wanted.
I hear this concern often. And it's why we always have backup plans and alternative exit strategies laid out BEFORE going into a flip.
There are so many ways to protect yourself in a deal. Going into any business blindly is a surefire way to lose money and make costly mistakes.
Acknowledge there are many things you do not know and get an education.
Carol's story is so inspiring because she went from terrified to buying 6 flip properties in a year!

Everyone feels scared when they start a new journey - EVERYONE.
The difference is in who lets that fear hold them back.
We get to choose if it's going to prevent us from chasing a dream or if we're going to chase it despite the fear.
I think a lot about regret when it comes to deciding whether I'm going to go after something I want.
Will I regret not going after this or will I regret letting the fear control me?
And then ... BOOM ... I'm in action.
Regret or action? We choose.

Cindy Tackled Over a Year of Hurdles and Title Issues to Make $42k on Her First Flip

I'm excited to share our FlipSister Cindy's first flip journey. It was a doozy!
Cindy had purchased her first flip prior to joining our coaching program. And shortly after she joined she told me she was going through a title issue on this property.
She was in the middle of flipping it and some heirs came along saying that they had a right to this house and they hadn't been paid at closing.
Cindy ended up in litigation for over a year. I've been there, so I understood what she had ahead of her and what she'd be feeling along the way.
She recently sold that house and got out of that mess, and is here to share her story.
And guess what? She's not letting this experience get in her way, and she's going to keep on flipping houses!
I relate to her story on so many levels. It's hard to get knocked down, and then get back up and go do that thing again, without second-guessing every move along the way.
And yet, we do it.
Among many others, one of the morals of the story here is never ever skip buying title insurance. By not purchasing title insurance, you're potentially setting yourself up for massive loss. There are so many ways you can mitigate your risk when running your house flipping business and buying proper insurance is foundational.

Amy Profits $160k on 12-Month Slow Flip

Regardless of the end-use of the property, always buy something you can add value to. If you're going to live in it, sell it within the next few months or hold it as a rental, if you're not buying properties you can add value to you're wasting a prime opportunity to build your wealth.
Our FlipSister Amy in North Carolina is an excellent example of intentionally utilizing the slow flip. Her most recent one netted her $160,000 profit in 12 months as she sold it to move into the next one.
