play

01/07/24 • 26 min

It's okay not to have a health and fitness goal you're working towards. At this time of the year, we're bombarded with messaging for New Year's resolutions - specifically ones that will make us feel fitter and healthier, but no one talks about what it's like to start the year without a tangible list of goals like fat loss or hitting a new PB. In this weeks episode, FIT(ish) host Phoebe Parsons chats to Personal Trainer and Professional Athlete Nicila Costello about why it's okay not to have fitness goals, how to identify when you might be in a plateau and the most important thing you can to do help you remain consistent outside of goals and resolutions.

FIT(ish) - Why Men Love 'B's
play

04/15/19 • 58 min

Thou shalt remember, treat 'em mean, keep 'em keen When it comes to self-help books, there are very few proverbial stones I've left unturned. On my quest to try and rerail the life I've spent the last 29 years derailing, I've turned to help from the literary likes of The Secret, The Barefoot Investor, The Subtle Art of not Giving a...., The Life Changing Magic of Not Giving a...... (it's low key ridiculous the amount of ...... I have to give) and who could forget... Eat Pray Love. The OG basic 'B' bible. My emotional instability, coupled with my unwavering positivity, means I fall for self-help books faster than I fall for boys. So imagine what happened when I found a book that combined the two? Ahh spoiler - a brilliant bloody episode... that's what!

FIT(ish) - A year in review
play

12/30/19 • 30 min

Thou shalt remember, that a lot can happen in a year... If I had to sum 2019 up in one word, I would say - eventful. Wait, strike that. Eventful is a gross understatement. When I look back and reflect on the roller coaster of events that unfolded in just 12 short months, I would honestly go as far to say that 2019 has been my biggest year yet. The highs were some of the highest highs I've ever experienced, and I hit career milestones I still pinch myself to believe are my reality now. And in turn, the lows were some of the lowest lows Ive ever experienced. But at the risk of sounding totally cliche, I'm going to go ahead and do it anyway and say I wouldn't change a single thing. So before we hit a new decade, I want to take a look back at the year that was 2019. But because I'm not good at doing things alone, I'm taking you all with me... In true train wreck style, the year started with a tragedy that I wasn't at all prepared for. Follow Phoebe on Instagram @phoebeacp or join the Train Wreck Podcast Community Facebook group.
