The Investigation Begins

We also drill down on some of the false and contradictory information that has been reported over the years.
One of the biggest misconceptions in the case is reports of blood evidence found at the crime scene at the Key Apartments parking lot in Mason City, Iowa, where Jodi was abducted on her way to anchor the morning news at KIMT-TV on June 27, 1995.
Our team also discusses one of the more bizarre twists in this 25-year-old case: the mailing of a copy of Jodi's personal journal to the local newspaper.

The Timeline
FindJodi
06/05/20 • 33 min
We retraced Jodi’s activities in the 24-48 hours before she was abducted in her apartment parking lot on her way to anchor the morning news at KIMT-TV in Mason City on June 27, 1995.
The 27-year-old Long Prairie, Minnesota native joined the small CBS-affiliate in northern Iowa in 1993.
By June of 1995, Jodi was actively looking to move on to a much bigger television market.
Our FindJodi team compiled the timeline after interviewing people who were close personally and professionally to Jodi, by reviewing extensive news media coverage of the investigation, obtaining some police reports and by doing interviews over the years with Mason City investigators.
We have also talked with many residents who lived at Jodi’s apartment complex and with people who were with Jodi at the Chamber of Commerce golf tournament just hours before she was abducted.

Drug Kingpin Dustin Honken
FindJodi
07/16/20 • 18 min
One of those theories deals with a prisoner on death row who is set to be executed tomorrow (Friday July 17, 2020).
Dustin Honken is a federal inmate in Indiana. Some believe that Honken may have been involved in Jodi’s disappearance, or at least may have some knowledge of what happened to her.
Over the years, the FindJodi team has spent significant time investigating this theory. This episode covers what we’ve been able to learn about it.

Pruin died in his rural Mason City, Iowa home from a gunshot wound three months before Jodi disappeared. There has been a long-rumored possible connection between the two incidents 25 years ago.

The former Mason City, Iowa seed salesman was 22 years older than Jodi and his name is often discussed in her case.
Vansice told police that he showed Jodi a videotape at his home the night before she disappeared.
But what evidence, if any, supports his possible involvement in her abduction?
