What Are You Laughing At? - Keshia Lease
Find Your Faith Podcast
What Are You Laughing At? https://find-your-faith-ministries.square.site/ So today I will talk about laughter and the benefits. Let’s start with having confidence in God’s word. Hebrews 11:1 reads “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” As believers, we must have confidence or trust in God’s Word. When you pray and know that God hears you, you can confidence that God is sending out angels to work on your behalf right now. 1 John 5:14-15, ESV: And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him. Did you know that laughter is good for you physically, emotionally, and mentally? Laughter can lower your stress levels and improve your mood. Laughter can improve relationships. Do you laugh with your significant other or your spouse? How about your kids? Laughter can give you a sense of happiness and well-being.
Here are 8 scriptures about laughter and they are in the New Living Translation. Job 8:21 says “He will once again fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with shouts of joy.” Psalm 30:11 reads “You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy.” Psalm 42:5 states “Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad? I will put my hope in God! I will praise him again.” Psalm 98:4 says “Shout to the Lord, all the earth; break out in praise and sing for joy!” Psalm 126:2 reads “We were filled with laughter, and we sang for joy. And the other nations said, ‘What amazing things the Lord has done for them.’” Proverbs 17:22 states “A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength.” John 15:11: “I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow!” 1 Peter 4:13: “Instead, be very glad—for these trials make you partners with Christ in his suffering, so that you will have the wonderful joy of seeing his glory when it is revealed to all the world.” When you become born again, trust in God and meditate on His word, you can have peace and joy in your life. It will become a way of life. You can live a positive and happy life. I did some research on important questions we need to ask ourselves if we do not live a happy life. If you do not have a happy life, ask yourself what are you listening to or reading or seeing daily? There is certain music that I listen to. Nothing negative or dark for me. That’s my personal choice. What songs are you singing along with? Your words have power. If you are singing songs about being sad or broke, you are confessing that. But the power of your words is another podcast for another day. Be mindful of what you watch on the internet, on TV, and movies. If you constantly listen, read, or watch negative things, that can affect our outlook on life. That can affect your mind and spirit. Happiness is a choice. It is your decision if you want to have a happy life. I love reading about King David and his praise. In 2 Samuel 6:14 in the NKJV it reads “Then David danced[a] before the LORD with all his might; and David was wearing a linen ephod. So David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the LORD with shouting and with the sound of the trumpet.” So this great ruler, this man of authority cut loose and danced and praised the Lord! And he wasn’t alone in his praise. Read 2 Samuel 6:16-23 What Are You Laughing At? https://find-your-faith-ministries.square.site/

Hello and this is Find Your Faith Podcast. I’m Keshia Lease. And this is Part 2 of “Healing is MINE! “ In part 1, I talked about how we have heard negative confessions from family, friends and our environment and how those confessions have shaped what we believe about our own bodies and healing. Jesus has already paid the price for our healing. So let’s take a look at some steps to receive your healing. You have access to the divine, miraculous power of God. God is Jehovah Rapha! The One who heals! #1 Find out what the Bible says about Healing. In Part I, I shared several Biblical examples of healing. The woman with the issue of blood was not going to let ANYTHING stop her from touching Jesus’s garment and receiving her healing. And I shared the story of the Shunammite woman whose son had died but she never confessed his death. Instead, she went to the prophet Elisha for help. There are so many incredible stories about healing in the Bible. Like in John Chapter 4 and verses 46 thru 53. The scriptures tell of a nobleman whose son was at the point of death. The nobleman heard that Jesus was in the area. He asked Jesus to come down and heal his son. Jesus said, “Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will never believe.” Then the noblemen got frantic and said “Sir, come down before my child dies!” What does Jesus say? He said,” Go your way; your son lives.” It states the man believed what Jesus said to him. And as the nobleman was going home, his servants met him and told him “Your son lives!” Then the nobleman started talking with the servants about when the healing took place. The nobleman realized his son was healed at the exact moment that Jesus said, “Your son lives!” Healing came that quickly and the nobleman had used his faith and believed what Jesus said. In Luke Chapter 7 verses 1 thru 10 it tells the story of the healing of the centurion’s servant. The servant was sick and ready to die. The centurion sent elders to beg Jesus to come and heal this servant. But when Jesus was not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to tell Jesus “Don’t trouble yourself Lord, I am not worthy for you to enter under my roof.” The friends also tell Jesus of how the centurion understood Jesus’ authority! The centurion also sent this message for Jesus...” “Say the word and my servant will be healed.” And Jesus was marveled at the centurion’s faith! Let’s meditate on that for a while. The centurion’s faith was so great that He believed all Jesus had to do was SPEAK THE WORD and his servant would be healed! Praise God! He said Jesus didn’t even have to come to his home!
