Welcome fellow podcast travelers. I am Timothy Kimo, Brien, your guide to the this intriguing world. Now I've been listening in creating podcasts since 2006. And I've talked at podcast conferences and taught podcasting since 2017. In my day job, I'm known as the podcast guy, and I help my co workers find podcasts that are entertaining, informative, and essential for their careers and resiliency. At the time, I'm recording this in 2021. There are over two and a half million podcasts available. Now that can be a staggering number to think about. You know, wouldn't it be great to have your own go to person who can give you the information, you need to make an informed decision on which podcast you want to spend your time with? Well, that's my goal with this podcast. I have found that a personal recommendation is much more accurate than something from an algorithm. Now don't get me wrong. searching Google or Apple podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast from, is helpful. But wouldn't it be nice to know before you hit play, what the podcast is about, so you can make an informed decision? Well, that's where I come in. Here's how the show works. I will sift through each category and Apple podcasts or Spotify, or even Google podcasts, and find a show to listen to and research. I'm looking for shows that haven't pod faded, they have a decent sound quality, are engaging and staying on their chosen topic. I'm also looking for the evolution of the show. To see how the host has grown or pivoted. I'll reach out to the host to see if they'd like to say a few words about their show, and talk about their journey. And after that, I'll provide you with all the details made needed to make an informed decision on whether or not to listen to the show. Some of those details will include where you can find the show contact information or so to show social media connections. who's hosting? How long has this podcast been going on? And where you might want to start your binge. The show is going to be in three parts. The first half and yeah, I'm stealing that from Car Talk. That first half will be the objective stats of the show. The second half will be my impressions of the show, and why I think you will find it binge worthy. The third half of the show will be reserved for host interviews. So if you're a stats persons we got you covered. If you're more interested in opinion, that second half is for you. And if you're kinda like me, want to hear directly from the creators, then the third half will be right up your alley.
Now I'm only one person doing one show per episode. So this is where you come in. If you just can't wait until I get around to all two and a half million podcasts and you want a personalized recommendation. Then reach out to me Timothy at Find a podcast about dot XYZ or leave a voicemail on the website, find a podcast about dot XYZ or contact me via social media.
