Every believers ministry of reconciliation and unity
Part 10
“Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity!
It is like the precious oil upon the head, Running down on the beard, The beard of Aaron, Running down on the edge of his garments. It is like the dew of Hermon, Descending upon the mountains of Zion; For there the Lord commanded the blessing— Life forevermore.” Psalms 133:1-3
Stubborn, Complaining and Grumbling
In Exodus 13:15 Pharoah was so stubborn that he would not forgive, release people from bondage
• destroyed kingdom
• Children killed
Finally he released the Hebrews
• God never designed us to live in bondage
• Satan controls, is bitter, sows hate, separates, controls
• GOD is bigger than any government
Ex 14:10-14 And when Pharaoh drew near, the children of Israel lifted their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians marched after them. So they were very afraid, and the children of Israel cried out to the Lord. 11 Then they said to Moses, "Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you so dealt with us, to bring us up out of Egypt? 12 Is this not the word that we told you in Egypt, saying, 'Let us alone that we may serve the Egyptians'? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than that we should die in the wilderness."
13 And Moses said to the people, "Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever.
Ex 14:14 The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace."
Ex 15:22-25 So Moses brought Israel from the Red Sea; then they went out into the Wilderness of Shur.
23 Now when they came to Marah (bitter, poision), they could not drink the waters of Marah (bitter), for they were bitter. Therefore the name of it was called Marah (bitter). 24 And the people complained against Moses, saying, "What shall we drink?"
25 So he cried out to the Lord, and the Lord showed him a tree
•
God did miracle after miracle... and they died with bitterness
• Parents have went to grave with strife with kids
o Never said what they wanted to
o never restored
Language of bitterness is complaining, sarcasm, blaming
Language of restoration is LOVE, MERCY
Heb 12:12 Therefore strengthen the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees, 13 and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed.
14 Pursue peace with all people (unity, no strife), and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord: (strife is atmosphere of Satan) 15 looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled; =
Eph 4:29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. 3
