Steps to Answered Prayer
Part 9
1 Thess 5:16 Rejoice always, (Not just when ship comes in, even when in a trial. The joy of the Lord is your strength. Paul and Silas in jail) 17 pray without ceasing (lifestyle. Checking in with Him on everything), 18 in everything give thanks (not for the trial but for the victory for His goodness and mercy); for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. NKJV
James 1:6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
Joshua 1:8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."
Matt 7:7 "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.
Luke 11:1 Now it came to pass, as He was praying in a certain place, when He ceased, that one of His disciples said to Him, "Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples." 2 So He said to them, "When you pray, say: Our Father in heaven, .....
8 But I tell you this—though he won't do it for friendship's sake, if you keep knocking long enough, he will get up and give you whatever you need because of your shameless persistence. 9 "And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. NLT
Luke 11:9 And so it is with prayer-keep on asking and you will keep on getting; keep on looking and you will keep on finding; TLB
Heb 6:11-12 And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope until the end, 12 that you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises.
Mark 11:23-24 For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. 24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.
Phil 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Phil 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are

Biblical Foundations of Prayer
WHAT PRAYER IS NOT
Part 8
Matt 6:7 And when you pray, do not use vain (useless) repetitions as the heathen do. 8 "Therefore do not be like them. For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.
Popular Tradition:
1. Counting beads
2. praying to the saints is rooted on praying for the dead .
Matt 6:9 In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven NKJV
Ex 20:1-7 And God spoke all these words, saying: 2 "I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. 3 "You shall have no other gods before Me. 4 "You shall not make for yourself a carved image — any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; 5 you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, 6 but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments. 7 "You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain. NKJV
WHO TO PRAY TO
Deut 5:4-5 The Lord talked with you face to face on the mountain from the midst of the fire. NKJV
John 16:23 "And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. 24 Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. NKJV
Eph 3:14 For this reason I bow mykneesto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ ,
PRAYERS GOD CANNOT ANSWER
1 John 5:14 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will (Not all prayers are heard. We know His will according to His word. Cannot pray his will if do not know his will), He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know (Faith, boldness, confidence begins where the will of God is known) that we have the petitions (not things needed, thought deserved) that we haveasked of Him.
What He told us to do
THE MESSAGE1 John 5:14 And how bold and free we then become in his presence, freely asking according to his will, sure that he's listening. 15 And if we're confident that he's listening, we know that what we've asked for is as good as ours.
Eph 5:17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the

STEPS TO ANSWERED PRAYER
Praying for others
Part 10
1 Thess 5:16 Rejoice always,17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. NKJV
We need to understand power, authority and the differences when praying for others
Authority
• Lk 9:1 Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases. 2 He sent them to preach the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.
o Cast out demons and heal sick
• Luke 10:17 Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, "Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name."
There are times to pray and times to exercise authority
We are AUTHORIZED to command in the Name and DUNAMIS power from heaven does the work
Ask:
• John 14:12 "Most assuredly, I say Affirm, to teach, to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. 13 And whatever you ask in My name Ask = demand, require, call for, desire or command in Greek , that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
o Matt 8:30-34 Now a good way off from them there was a herd of many swine feeding. 31 So the demons begged Him, saying, "If You cast us out, permit us to go away into the herd of swine." 32 And He said to them, "Go." So when they had come out, they went into the herd of swine. And suddenly the whole herd of swine ran violently down the steep place into the sea, and perished in the water.33 Then those who kept them fled; and they went away into the city and told everything, including what had happened to the demon-possessed men.
o Matt 9:32 As they went out, behold, they brought to Him a man, mute and demon-possessed. 33 And when the demon was cast out, the mute spoke. And the multitudes marveled, saying, "It was never seen like this in Israel!" 34 But the Pharisees said, "He casts out demons by the ruler of the demons."
o Matt 10:1-2 And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease.
o Matt 10:8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.
• Would Jesus allow cancer to stay or command to die? I am sent with his authority in His Name.
o YOU and I are authorized
John 14:14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. NKJV
• I SHALL is a very strong assertion
Matt 16:18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." NKJV
Matt 18:18 "Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. 19 "Again I say to you that if two of you
