Kerstin is the CEO and co-founder at Openers, a boutique communications agency in Berlin that partners with tech companies including Sorare, Pipedrive, Spotify, and Pleo as well as several other unicorns. She is an active mentor and advisor to several start-up initiatives including the European Innovation Council (EIC) Fund — Europe's largest Deep tech fund. Kerstin invests as a hands-on angel in early-stage startups across sectors ranging from climate tech to food tech and health tech, always with a focus on diverse founding teams (including one.five, Hier Foods, The Climate Choice, Endogene.Bio) and recently also joint the Atomico Angel Programme.

Previously, she worked as a hedge fund portfolio manager at OFI AM in Paris and led the global business development for Autionomics, Nobel Prize winner Paul Milgrom’s tech and consulting firm. She serves on the Board of Alumni of the University of St.Gallen and on the board of the German Startup Association.

She regularly lectures at the University of St. Gallen and other academic institutions. Nicole trained as an economist and econometrician at the University of St.Gallen, Stockholm School of Economics and Stanford University and holds a MA in Quantitative Economics and Finance.
