Episode 2: Ykä Marjanen
Feeding Adam: Food, Farming & Our Search for Eden
08/12/22 • 63 min
In this episode, I talk to Ykä about his pioneering work creating a one stop shop for rearing Black Soldier Fly larvae for livestock feed in used shipping containers.

This larvae can then be locally used to replace soy and fish meal.
Ykä also co-founded GrainSense, Innopinion, People2join and Xardu. He has 15 years of technical experience developing B2B and consumer products relating to sensor and behavioral algorithms, autonomous measurement and analysis solutions. He has a PhD on understanding human comfort in moving machines. He has been CEO, CTO, COO, CIO, CMO and chairman of the board for several companies.

Episode 6: Reginaldo Haslett-Marroquin
Feeding Adam: Food, Farming & Our Search for Eden
09/24/22 • 61 min
In this episode, I talk to Reginaldo Haslett-Marroquin (Regi for short) who is a Guatemalan ex-pat and is also an indigenous Mayan who is bringing his people’s ancient heritage and perspective on stewardship of the earth to farm production in Minnesota where he lives. While he operates his own farm (Salvatierra Farms), his vision is much larger than one farm - regenerative agriculture, he says, takes place across ecological systems and at RegenPoultry he is building a network of 250 farms from Minnesota down to Texas to create a new model for poultry meat and egg production, along with nuts and berries, that restores ecological balance to the system while meeting local demand.

Episode 7: Sheila Darmos
Feeding Adam: Food, Farming & Our Search for Eden
10/07/22 • 53 min
Sheila Darmos is a regenerative farmer and pioneer who has set up Regenerative Farming Greece, an initiative of the non-profit organization, The Southern Lights, which she directs. RFG is pushing the regen movement in Greece through training, and establishing a network of pilot farms so local farmers can see and experience what regenerative farming is.
Having her roots in the early organic movement in Greece, with her father being a pioneer in the movement, she has a lot of hands on knowledge of what it means to support farmers in their transition and to accelerate a greater transition across Greece. Still leading the family business which was created to support the organic movement, she also has a tremendous amount of insight into the marketing and operational sides of regenerative farming.
