EarBuds Podcast Collective is a listening movement. We send a weekly podcast recommendation email that contains a theme and 5 podcast episodes on that theme. The best part is that each week is curated by a different person -- and anyone can curate!
This podcast will highlight each week's podcast picks, information about the curator, and more. We'll also share podcast tips, industry news, and bonus recommendations from time to time.
EarBuds Podcast Collective was created in February 2017. The founder is Arielle Nissenblatt. The editor of the newsletter is Abby Klionsky.
We have created a vast online community, accessible through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
This podcast is meant to make EarBuds more accessible and to turn more people on to amazing podcasts and the people that are listening to them.

This week's theme is Memoirs. The curator is Cindy Burnett.
Why did Cindy choose this theme?: "I love reading a memoir and then listening to the author talk more about the book. Each interviewer takes a different approach to the conversation, and I learn something new every time I listen to a podcast interview with that author."
About Cindy: Cindy Burnett is the host of the Thoughts from a Page Podcast where she interviews authors about their latest works and others in the book world about their job and the books they love. An avid reader and book reviewer, Cindy loves to talk about books everywhere she can. In addition to hosting her podcast, she actively promotes books she loves on social media, writes two book columns for The Buzz Magazines, reviews books monthly for Bookreporter.com, and as a SheReads.com contributor, she writes "best of" book articles in the genres of historical fiction. She is also a co-creator of Conversations from a Page, a Houston author event series that brings authors and readers together in a relaxed and welcoming setting; the group recently added an online book club as well.
Thank you to this week's EarBuds sponsor, Strange Air Podcast:
Ten years ago, Malcolm Smith was the host of "Strange Air," a radio show about the paranormal. One night, during a live broadcast, Malcolm vanished into thin air. To this day, no one knows what happened.
Now his daughter, Chase Smith, is in her last year of film school and she’s making a documentary about her father’s disappearance. "Strange Air" is a new sci-fi thriller featuring the voices of Natalie Lander and Patrick Fabian from "Better Call Saul."

Welcome to Feedback with EarBuds, the podcast recommendation podcast. Our newsletter brings you five podcast recommendations each week according to a theme, and curated by a different person. Our podcast is an audio version of the newsletter.

This week's theme is Rewriting Black and Indigenous Histories. The curator is Chip Colwell, editor-in-chief of the SAPIENS magazine and executive producer of SAPIENS: A Podcast For Everything Human.
Why did Chip choose this theme? "In the months following George Floyd’s murder, the magazine and podcast I work on, SAPIENS, started a collaboration with the Society of Black Archaeologists and the Indigenous Archaeology Collective. This work culminated in a special season 4, which tells the stories of a new generation of Black and Indigenous archaeologists who are changing the way we think about history — and our future. During this effort, we learned that so many podcasters are part of a movement to rewrite and reimagine the events and people who made us who we are!”
This episode is brought to you in part by Focusrite:
Podcasting can be full of daunting concepts like gain staging and signal chains and waveform degrundulating (did you notice that we made that last one up?) Skip the jargon and be your best creative self with an audio interface from Focusrite.

We are also proud to be sponsored this week by Kast Media:
Kast Media is the leading independent podcast network. It is one of the first leaders in the simulcast strategy for show creation, distribution, and award-winning shows in narrative storytelling. Kast Media does it right, leading to 13 million unique viewers/listeners per month.

Welcome to Feedback with EarBuds, the podcast recommendation podcast. Our newsletter brings you five podcast recommendations each week according to a theme, and curated by a different person. Our podcast is an audio version of the newsletter.

This week's theme is Mom Entrepreneurs. Our curator is Jill Salzman.
This week's newsletter and podcast are sponsored by...
Different Leaf: the Podcast, with host Brit Smith, provides a road map to an evolving landscape for new and experienced cannabis consumers. Join Brit every other Friday for conversations with cannabis experts about the evolving culture of legal weed.

On Feedback with EarBuds, you'll hear an interview between our host, Arielle Nissenblatt, and someone doing something interesting in the podcast space. Then, you'll hear about this week's podcast picks being featured on our newsletter.
About our curator, Jill Salzman. Jill Salzman turns the mundane into inspiration and transforms the impossible into the achievable. Through defying expectations and breaking the rules, she succeeds in inspiring small business entrepreneurs and helping women figure out what works for them by using meaningful action to create positive results. Jill is the author of The Best Business Book In The World* (according to my mom) and the Amazon best-seller, Found It: A Field Guide for Mom Entrepreneurs. She’s shared the speaker stage with Richard Branson, Sheryl Sandberg, Daymond John, Marilu Henner, and Desmond Tutu among others, and professed her love of Eddie Vedder in her TEDx talk on 11/11/11. She hosts the top-rated entertaining business podcast, Why Are We Shouting?, a question she asks herself daily. CNNMoney calls her a “mommy mogul.” MSN Live says she’s a “Cool Mom Entrepreneur We Love.” Forbes rated her a Top 100 Champion Small Business Influencer and voted The Founding Moms one of the Top 10 Websites For Entrepreneurs. When she’s not speaking to audiences in patterned leggings or podcasting from her basement, she fruitlessly tries to convince her daughters that cassette tapes actually existed.
This week's interview: Meet Rebeca Seitz.
Here's her bio: Hello there! Thanks for dropping by. I'm a writer, producer and communicator with over 15 years of experience in leadership roles in the media and entertainment industries. I started out as a publicist at Thomas Nelson Publishers (now HarperCollins). Then I launched a literary PR firm that, over its nine year existence, served debut novelists and New York Times best-sellers. Along the way, five of my novels were published. In this second decade of my career, I've written a few biographies and novellas, co-written and co-produced a television screenplay based on one of my novels, founded a non-profit geared to put the power of stories to positive cultural use, and then... ... launched out here solo. Today, I write, produce, and look for ways to put the power of writing toward positive means. Through it all, I value the tribe of writers and creatives within which I live and move and have authentic being.

This week's podcast picks:
Why Are We Shouting?!
Hear I Am
Rox Talks
The Support Squad
Startup Parent
This week's spotlight: Planthropology
If you're on this planet, plants have a HUGE impact on your life. Whether you're a vegan, a carnivore, or somewhere in between, plants are the basis of the food you eat, the clothes your wear, and the air you breathe. We don't intended just to teach you plant facts (though we'll do plenty of that), but to give you some insight into the cool people who work with them.
