FDR Speaks To Young Democrats. He found an awakened social consciences in America to be perfectly compatible with the free enterprise system, in fact individual happiness he perceived was never enhance by unrestrained competition . On August 24, 1935 he tells the youth democrats that the formulas preached to the youth of his generation, the formulas of unbridled individualism, had proved inadequate even as they were being promoted and were surely unsuited for modern times. Is this what you believe to be true? Has this philosophy corrupted our free market system? You be the judge, listen carefully, because this philosophy is ever present in today's President.
