Fate, Luck & Karma: A Ghostbusters Fans Podcast

In this special episode and Season Finale, join Dean, Lee, Jay and Theo as they review the newest Ghostbusters movie - Frozen Empire.
They discuss the story, cast, pacing and plot of the latest in the Ghostbusters franchise. How will they rate this 2024 instalment of the Spengler family saga? Well, you'll have to listen to find out but, as you'll probably expect, they're not all on the same page...
Against a backdrop of controversy around Rotten Tomatoes ratings, and extreme reactions both positively and negatively towards the movie, cut through the noise as our four UK Ghostbusters fans share their first impressions of the Ghostbusters Afterlife sequel (previously referred to as #AfterAfterlife), where the movie may lead us to next, and - of course - if there was any cake to be had. (Spoiler: There wasn't).
Speaking of spoilers, it goes without saying that in this Frozen Empire podcast review, there are spoilers a-plenty, so be sure to see the movie yourself before tuning in. You've been warned!

In this, the penultimate episode of Fate, Luck & Karma: A Ghostbusters Fan Podcast, join Dean, Lee, Jay and Theo as they discuss what they hope to see and what they think they'll see in Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire.
The team share the things that could make them leap out of their movie seats in excitement at that first screening, the moments that will truly make Frozen Empire memorable for them, and also some massively unreasonable and far-fetched hopes for subtle cameo appearances for the FLK and West Midlands Ghostbusters crew in the movie itself.
It's not going to happen, but Ghostbuster geeks can dream.
Plus, Theo sings (again), Lee busts out some frankly creepy voices (again), and 87% of the things Jay says end up on the cutting room floor (again). You gotta give the people what they want after all!

Dean is joined by Sarah from the Forgotten Film Club to discuss the Ghostbusters: Preview Cut, presented by Jason Reitman.
You'll hear about how Pete Venkman was much creepier in this early version of the movie, that Louis Tully was even more lovable than in the final cut, that Ghostbusters freaking out at empty corridors is almost as funny as the movie itself, and much more.
Dean and Sarah compare screenings from opposite sides of the Atlantic, reflect on the stories Jason Reitman shared, and decide whether or not they'd recommend the Preview Cut to casual fans, hardcore fans... or even someone who hasn't seen Ghostbusters before.
Plus we hear from a number of Ghostbusters fans outside the Prince Charles Cinema in London about what they were most looking forward to about the screening.
