Today's episode takes us to Boorowa, a small country town in the south west slopes of NSW. Boorowa is the home of the world renowned Enforcer Scrum Machines, designed and manufactured by Matthew Corkhill. Matthew grew up working on the family farm, when he decided to start his own engineering business specialising in machining, hydraulics and fabrication for customers in the agricultural industry. What started out as a simple request from a friend to build a scrum machine that would include a basic sled design, wheels for ease of manoeuvrability and a seat that would provide a vantage point for the coach, has become one of rugby’s most dominant brands. So much so, that 7 out of the 10 finalists at the 2011 Rugby World Cup trained using an Enforcer scrum machine.
Corkhill’s Engineering has been building its Enforcer Rugby Scrum Machines for a growing market. Purposely engineered by front rowers to replicate a live scrum, constantly being improved and refined in the Boorowa workshop. Each Enforcer machine provides an invaluable training tool without the harsh damage to the pitch that was common with scrum machines of the past.
Matthew's farming background gave him the foresight to drought proof his engineering business by opening a firearms store and servicing shop fixtures/fittings for Harvey Norman. Such an informative chat, Thanks Matthew.

Joel is an independent plant and soil health educator, providing lectures, workshops and consultation on soil management, plant nutrition and integrated approaches of sustainable food production.

Founder of HYDPOWER Hydraulics Shane Burke, stops by to conduct some training with our workshop staff for their hydraulic systems on our Ultisow machines. We have collaborated with HYDPOWER for many years now and it was great catching up with Shane to discuss their services and how the business has continually evolved to meet increasing demands in the Australian market.
Shane is always looking to improve his clients machinery but also has an emphasis on finding a solution to a problem. This mindset led him on a path to design and manufacture a faster, smarter and safer wool press machine that's called the Wool Master. His creation is the only CAT 3 wool press machine to meet AUS/NZ safety standards while outperforming the rest.
