GBIRL - Mental Health professionals can better connect with their clients who are gamers with the Geek Therapeutics course. Kailah Ayres-Tuttle tells me all about it.
08/08/21 • 45 min
I chatted with Kailah Ayres-Tuttle in this episode. She is a graduate of the Geek Therapeutics mental health program. I chatted with Dr. Goku, Dr. Kelly, and Dr. Bean about it several months ago.
We talk thru the goals of the program, what she learned, and how she can better help her clients work through their mental health issues. She gives several great examples of how the course helped her understand gaming culture better and allowed a deeper, more productive connection with her clients.
The story about a potentially suicidal teenager is just amazing and worth hearing. You can find out more about the course at this link: https://www.geektherapeutics.com/

GBIRL - The official esports team of Las Vegas doing it the right way from the ground up. My chat with the crew of the Las Vegas Inferno
This is the second podcast I recorded when I was in Las Vegas. Meeting the crew from the Inferno in person was much more fun than over Discord or Zoom. I got to chat with Gilyphix, Mike and Leo about how they are building the LV Inferno into what an esports org should look like.
We recorded outside at Town Square south of The Strip so that's all the background noise you hear. It was great chatting with them because we had both the old school look at esports from the COO Mike to the new look and growth potential from Gilyphix.
It was raw and honest the way I like these things. So raw and honest that I got names mixed up at the start. I tried to prepare for this, but we moved things around so much that it was just a lot of off the cuff talk and questions.
Check out the Las Vegas Inferno and their new Rocket League squad now.
