Faithful with a Little - Redemption After Rebellion with Lauren Westermeyer
play

02/03/21 • 42 min

In today's episode, I got to interview my best friend, Lauren, from childhood on how beautiful it is to experience the Lord's sweet redemption after a season of rebellion.
At one point in the episode, Lauren said, “After I lost my virginity I thought, what’s the point? I already screwed up in God’s eyes.”
I'm not sure what you're walking through or if you've ever felt like just giving up, but I hope Lauren's story encourages you to remember that you are never too far gone from coming back to the Lord. Not only that, but God has compassion for you, wherever you find yourself.
Being faithful in the small steps that lead to healing are not always easy, but they sure are worth it!

Faithful with a Little - Helping You Win In Your Finances

Helping You Win In Your Finances

Faithful with a Little

play

01/20/21 • 28 min

For episode #5, I thought it would be timely to talk about “Helping You Win In Your Finances” because I also share five problems and solutions to common household finances. This episode is a little different than most of my other episodes because it leans more into my passion for finances than what I go into on a normal basis, but I know first hand that no matter how much you have (or don’t have), when your finances are in order, your household has a much better chance of being in order as well.
Money is not evil in and of itself. Better yet, good people with a lot of money use their money for good verses bad people with a lot of money use their money for bad. It’s really not about the money if you think about it, but about the person who stewards it.

I know it can be really hard to be faithful in your finances, but I don’t think it’s necessarily suppose to be easy.

Here’s the deal, too many people have never been taught basic financial concepts that could help them get ahead because they didn’t learn them in school, their parents didn’t know enough to pass down nor do most of the bigger financial companies and creditors want you to be educated with the things I share in this episode because they're too busy taking advantage of what you don't know.
In time I've learned that most people typically don't plan to fail, but they fail to plan. So join me in this episode as I dive into the five problems and solutions that simply applied, can help you win in your finances!
It won't be easy, but it sure will be worth it!

Faithful with a Little - How We Met & Our Personal Finance Journey
play

01/13/21 • 44 min

In this episode I was excited to have my husband, Justin, on the podcast with me. Justin is such a big part of making the show possible, but you won’t get to hear from him much, so we thought it would be fun to share the story of how we met & married in just 9 months. We also get into where we were financially just one year into marriage and then where we are now. Disclaimer, you’ll hear me say where we are in 2020 because we recorded this episode at the end of the year, but I meant to say 2021 knowing that’s when this would air ;)
Do you ever wonder how you’d keep paying the bills if something unexpected happened to you or your partner? Do you, like most, feel like you'll never get out of debt and be able to properly save for retirement?
Though Justin and I still aren’t where we ultimately want to be in our finances, we're making little steps towards that end and have a plan in place to get there! My hope is to be able to help those listeners who also want to get a grip on their personal finances.
Being faithful in the small things, finances included, is not easy, but it's always worth it!

Faithful with a Little - Grieving Well with Kristen Myers

Grieving Well with Kristen Myers

05/24/21 • 51 min

Well guys, I know it's been a hot minute since the last episode, BUT I'm encouraged to bring you a new episode today called, Grieving Well with a very special gust, Kristen Myers.
My plan was not to abruptly stop the podcast like I did, so I apologize for that! I was going to post a couple more episodes before taking an "Official break", but to be honest my business continues to take off, which leaves little to no time to post new content like I want in this season. Don't worry though, we will be back with new episodes in the near future (sometime after summer 2021, maybe even as late as winter 2021). Stay tuned!
Today though, May 24, 2021 marks the two year anniversary from the day that Kristen and Zachary Myers lost their precious boy, Boston, in a tragic drowning accident. In honor of him, we recorded this special, one-off podcast to share a bit about his story and to encourage others in how to walk through grief well.
Kristen and her family are some of the most down-to-earth, God-fearing people I know. Throughout this episodes you will hear some tears, a voice of hope and a longing for our eternal home in Heaven, but also a reminder and encouragement in how sweet the Lord is.
One of the things that stood out to me in Kristen's story is how in the midst of such chaos, the Lord was the closest. My hope is that you are spurred on in how real and good God really is after listening to this episode.
Being faithful in a season of grief is not easy, and sometimes we don’t even have to feel like we’re grieving well, but continuing to give it to God is always worth it!

Faithful with a Little - Chasing After Your Dreams

What are your goals and dreams?
In this episode, my hope is to help you identify them and then challenge you to get after those things in order to have more influence in the areas God has called you to!

Matthew 13:23 says, “But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.”
We can be in Christ and settle for sixty or thirty times what is sown, but I want to see you yield a crop that is a hundred times!

Faithful with a Little - When To Speak Up with Keri Armentrout
play

03/03/21 • 27 min

I got the privilege of interviewing Keri Armentrout, who along with her husband, has been on staff with Cru for the past 20 years. Kari is also a wife, mom, author and strong woman of God that I look up to. I met Kari when I was in Cru as a college student and have stayed connected with her through social media over the years.

This past year I started hearing a lot of people say, “If you’re silent, you’re part of the problem” in regards to a lot of social injustices being highlighted in our country. With that said, I personally wrestled with what the word “Silent” meant in this type of phrase.

In the episode, Kari breaks down what she calls “The three P’s (Position, Posture & Prophecy)” to help you determine how to know when the Lord is calling you to speak up (or not speak up) on whatever platform you have.

Faithful with a Little - Overcoming Church Hurt with Justin Bradley
play

02/24/21 • 46 min

This is a hard topic for us, but we feel called to share our stories. The truth is, we’ve both been tempted to let the hurt we’ve experienced keep us out of being a part of the church, but we know God calls His people to be a part of the body of Christ.

The enemy wants nothing more than to get you isolated. My hope is that our experiences encourage you to take your first step to get into the body, get back in if you’ve been out or keep you in if you’re tempted to step out in the future.

Being faithful in taking steps to overcome church hurt (or any hurt in your life) is not easy, but it is always worth it!

Faithful with a Little - Combatting The Lies We Hear

Combatting The Lies We Hear

Faithful with a Little

play

02/10/21 • 20 min

Do you realize how easy it is to believe a lie and then allow that lie to knock you off course? For those who are in Christ, the enemy cannot have your salvation, but he sure can deceive you.
Matthew 13:8 says, "Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop-a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown." How can you produce a crop that is a hundred times what was sown? It starts with having vision for the crop, but grows with faithful and consistent tilling of the soil.
In this episode, we talk about how to not only identify a lie that could choke out your garden, but also how to replace lies with truth in order to grow into all that God has you to be.
Being faithful in capturing the lies we hear and replacing them with truth is not always easy, but it sure is worth it.

Faithful with a Little - The Fruit of Obedience with Undisclosed Guest
play

01/27/21 • 33 min

How do you know what God’s will is for your life and what does it look like to experience the fruit of being obedient to that call? In this episode, I got to interview a friend of mine who is a missionary in Asia as she talks about how the Lord called her into her vocation, what she’s had to sacrifice to live oversees, the fruit of being faithful to the call on her life and also how you, whether you’re in vocational ministry or not, can glorify God wherever you’re at.

For security purposes, I cannot say this guest’s name or where exactly she lives in Asia because the gospel is not welcome in that part of the world and we want to keep her identity secure.

If you don’t know, most missionaries live on monthly support. If you are interested in joining this guest’s monthly support team, please email me with “Monthly Support for Undisclosed Guest” at [email protected] and I will get the two of you in contact with each other.

Experiencing the fruit of being obedient to the Lord’s call on your life does not come easily, but it’s always worth it!

What is Emotional Intelligence (EQ), why does it matter and how does growing in it help you achieve your goals & dreams?
In this episode, I got to sit down with one of my biggest mentor's, Jacob Webb. He says he couldn't have gotten to where he is without first understanding the importance of and then investing in his thoughts. He shares about his journey from being what the world would call a successful person (but really feeling stagnant in his life) to now owning multiple businesses and chasing after the things he's always wanted.
Jacob's main business is located in Fort Worth, Texas and is expanding/looking for self-motivated people wanting to work from home. If you want to contact Jacob, tell him you're reaching out from this podcast and email him at [email protected].
