Fab Fertility - Episode 8: Breaking Down a Typical IVF Cycle
play

07/03/19 • 17 min

In this episode I unpack a typical IVF cycle. When it begins, what appointments to expect, medication details, the infamous trigger shot and more! It is a quick listen but packed with info. Disclaimer, not all IVF cycles are outlined like this. In fact, I am currently on a completely different protocol than what I describe. However, this is the most typical and a lot of the info is consistent no matter the protocol.

Alex and I can't believe how much difference a week can make on anyone's specific infertility journey. We talk about this as it relates to my positive beta (still can't believe it) and her waiting game for genetic testing on her 4 presh embabies. We talk about the different levels of happiness you have as an infertile when people announce good news and how it directly correlates to the hope you find for yourself. Don't worry - there is some random shit thrown in too! It isn't all serious ;)

Fun fact: She is the voice you hear in the Fab Fertility podcast intro every single week. She has been a huge part of my person infertility journey and is one of my cherished mentors!
