Steve Delaney – has created one of the funniest Radio & TV Sitcom Characters the UK has seen since David Brent.

Count Arthur Strong dominated my TV in lockdown 2, Nina & I binged the lot...

On todays show I talk to Steve about his favourites on TV & Radio growing up as well as inspirations for the Count including Steve’s own Godfather and neighbour Billy Kay.

We talk about his woodwork prop workshop at Leeds Playhouse and The Grand as well as the writing process for the radio and tv shows, working with Graham Linehan and Graeme Duff, Barry Cryer and Rory Kinnear.

I loved hearing about his grafting on the Royal Mile at the Edinburgh Festival, you can hear the passion Steve has for Arthur and he has worked his heart out to bring Arthur Strong to our stage, screen & radio shows.

He has turned down corporate bookings because of the love of his character and he’s not the only one who loves this Variety Star who is slightly wrong in many ways but those ways are very very funny.

Welcome to Eyes & Teeth Steve Delaney

Nikolas Bushi is a young Comedy ventriloquist and magician inspired by his father Dashnor. I caught Nikolas on the Kentucky ventriloquist convention via youtube and saw something special about his talent. Not only did he remind me and my wife of me when i started but I saw huge potential and just wanted to congratulate him.
We met on Zoom and I passed on some little wisdom I have learnt and he went away and enhanced what he already had and more. He's a great performer and in addition he can sing great too, so now I am watching him grow into this excellent performer.
You too can watch his progress regularly and jon his 300,000+ followers on Tik Tok.
Welcome to Eyes & Teeth Nikolas Bushi

Daniel Dean has pizzazz, he’s a real entertainer and we got to know each other on a UK Pantomime Tour, I was Aladdin / Wishee-Washee in one there was a budget and Daniel was the Genie and he painted himself blue everyday for the part. The days of going to Wetherspoons with a Smurf will live for me forever. We shared digs too and when his beloved poodle WANDA was still with us that little pooch was adorable and kept my bed warm, especially one night when I woke up and realised it had piddled at the bottom of my bed.

That’s why anecdotes on eyes and teeth are welcomed otherwise every episode is the same

In this edition Daniel talks of Liberace and you can hear more about him in our final next episode but in this penultimate show Magic Dean talks of Paul Daniels, Johnny Mans, Norman Wisdom, Nathan Zorchak, Comedian Paul Eastwood, The Royal Variety Charity and so much more, welcome to Eyes & Teeth A Touch of Magic Daniel Dan

Welcome to Eyes & Teeth Jon Clegg

This man has magical voices he’s a vocal illusionist and that’s how I get away with adding him to Season 10 A Touch of Magic.

Jon has grafted in Holiday Parks, on cruise ships, in pantomime and after his fantastic BGT appearance he then enjoyed the corporate market. We talk about Jon’s father who was also in showbusiness and a success on the circuit, Jon has always worked on new ideas and voices to stay fresh and move with the times hence his Ant & Dec impression he mastered especially for Saturday Primetime television. We also talk about his inspirations and passions and the time he was stranded on a cruise ship and forced to perform in a double act, all will be revealed when I talk to Jon Clegg

Derek Martin is a very recognisable face, he's the uncle we all want and I'm lucky to know him amongst other very talented people in The Grand Order of Water Rats.
From stories of Music Hall & variety to work with Neil from the Young Ones and hanging out with Hollywood Royalty to Eastender's and enjoying the company of Shane Ritchie and more.
Derek's stories are fascinating, not just the people he's worked alongside but its so nice hearing about how much he appreciates his career, he's thankful and proud and if you're wondering what "he's one of the good guys" actually means? By the time this chat is over you'll know what i mean... Welcome to Eyes & Teeth Derek Martin

This is a New year Bumper Special meaning, it's a longer version than usual and I'm excited to get back in touch with my first guest as I haven't seen him for 23 years
Crisco comedy Magician and hilarious entertainer is not only a brilliant comedy legend but we find out that the man behind the act is a giving and generous soul who goes out of his way to help others. This doesn't take away the stories he lived through and on this chat we hear some very funny ones indeed. Crisco toured theatres as support, he entertained millions over decades based on the Isle of Wight, he always returned there and we talk over the phone and he and his wife Christine try and remember great moments from their time on stage together from their home on the island.

Bob Carolgees is Someone who lit up my family living room everytime he appeared on TV. Whether it was as a guest on a variety show or Surprise surprise with Cilla I would laugh along with my whole family.

Today Bob and I talk about his journey starting out as a DJ then verging into puppetry and TV Land landing a part in Tiswaz and Surprise surprise and touring with Big TV Stars in Summer Shows and Pantomimes.

Bob is so recognisable and with that little black dog on his arm you couldn’t mistake him. Little did I know there was a cat called cough and a ferret also and I’ll leave the rest of that name to your imagination, although saying there’s no need as Bob Spit the Dog Carolgees tells all in this final episode of Legends of Laughter with Bob Carolgees.
