Local Business Spotlight: Moore Crunch
There is an old adage: when life throws you lemons, you make lemonade. For Marcus Moore, he decided to make pretzels! And I am glad he did! Marcus, the founder of Moore Crunch, is now 30 years old and has Autism. He has faced more struggles than most of us and has thumbed his nose at them all. Marcus got his start working in grocery stores in dead-end positions. Then he got a job at Lidl, who saw the potential in him and gave him more responsibility, which ultimately turned into Lidl's loss. And the rest is history!
Marcus and his parents had a conversation about the future and discovered Marcus' "puzzle piece" was food--pretzels in particular. And with that, Moore Crunch was born. What started out as small baggies of pretzels sold in the Crofton Farmer's Market has evolved into a career for Marcus. Moore Crunch is now available all across the state, including at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, Graul's Markets, and many other locations! Today, hundreds of bags are shipped daily, and instead of that one flavor, there are five!
You can pick them up locally at Fishpaws, Annebeth's, Bread & Butter Kitchen, and Graul's Markets, or you can order some online. A perfect match for any football game!
But before you do that. Have a listen to our conversation with an amazing man whose persistence is only outshined by his smile!
