Exponential Africa - #209 Exponential Africa - Parsable
play

06/24/19 • 11 min

Today On the Exponential Africa Show Mic Mann Interviews Lawrence Whittle, CEO of Parsable. A connected worker platform used to execute and measure work for industrial companies, taking analogue ways of working and digitising the workforce process.

Simply put, Parsable is helping customers fuse quality and execution together to build better products faster. Eliminate time-wasting paper procedure distribution, training, separate data entry, and manual work analytics, and continuously gather ideas for improving the work itself from employees and the work they do.

“Humans are not going away but their jobs are changing, and when jobs are changing you need to make sure that they are connected in the same ways that machines are connected. The efficiency gains of making sure humans to human and human to machines are connected are a clear driver for efficiency in the future” Lawrence Whittle.

This connected workforce is a must and closely related to the reality of the demographic change of the worker.

Watch the full Video to hear all about Parsable and the future benefits of liberating the industrial world by digitisation.

What are the benefits of having Augmented and Virtual reality in our present world and the future of humanity?

Today on the Exponential Africa Show, Mic Mann has a great chat with SingularityU Faculty member specialising in Augmented and virtual reality - Rachel Sibley!

Education and training are a huge opportunity space; through AR and VR, we can scale immersive learning! Rachel says that we can dematerialise and thus demonetise by digitising the most high impact way of learning which is fully embodied interactive learning.

Rachel speaks of retention and efficiency through interactive, immersive learning being the most impactful way to scale children and adult education as well as retraining our workforce.

Rachel discusses what our children or next-generation would look like if they had an embodied relationship to concepts like quantum physics. “If we could create virtual worlds where we could expose our minds to these concepts, we would really open up entirely new domains of opportunity.” Rachel Anne Sibley.

Exponential Africa - #224 Exponential Africa - Arturo Elizondo
play

11/22/19 • 14 min

Today on the Exponential Africa Show, Mic Mann has a great chat with Arturo Elizondo. CEO of Clara Foods - developing performance protein products and making the world's first animal free egg white protein. Clara foods uses advanced fermentation processes to brew protein that is cleaner greener and kinder to our environment.

Arturo grew up eating eggs for breakfast and meat with almost every meal, never thinking about where his food really came from. At his first internship at the department of agriculture Arturo discovered that a million animals are slaughtered every hour in the USA, and the amount of water, land and protein needed to feed a growing populations was unsustainable. This led and inspired the creation of Clara foods, finding a better way to provide protein without the harmful long lasting effects on the planet and its limited resources.

Watch the full episode to learn more about Arturo’s journey to the creation of Clara foods and its importance.
