Valter Pontes came from humble beginnings on a fairly remote island off the coast of Africa to being written about in Forbes magazine.
He attributes all his success to reading books. Lots of them!

Valter started his UK property portfolio by dropping out of university and using his student loan to sign up for a year long education course.

On the course, he learned to source property for others. And with the profits from his sourcing business. He started his own portfolio.

In this episode, we discuss my top ten UK property investment books which I reviewed in Episodes 58-68.

Valter also explains:

· Why he asks people to read 120 books before they start working with him

· Why he divides books into three categories: personal development, general business knowledge and specific business knowledge

· Why for every four properties he buys in the north, he buys one in the south

· How he sources property

· How he finds good builders in a new investment area

· Why he also invests in the U.S.

To celebrate our 100th episode, I reflect on the story so far and offer a compilation of ten of my favourite clips from the first 99 episodes that collectively sum up the story so far.

If you want to learn about investing in UK property, this episode condenses the lessons learned from all my amazing guests so far.

And there’s a nostalgic nod to past features such as Monopoly Challenge, Postcode Challenge and guests’ jokes.

If you’re an expat or not, this is a property podcast episode not to be missed!
