This week, I had the super talented, 3 time Austin Music winning, Mexican American sister trio, Tiarra Girls. I got to chance to know them on personal level as they talked about their upbringing and how they came to be a band. We talked about how important it is to amplify the causes they believe in by advocating through their music and platform. They shared about what the writing process is like and how their supportive parents has made a positive influence on their lives and as a group. I got the chance to ask lead singer Tori about her coming out story and courage it took to share that with her parents and grandparents. This episode is by far at the top of my favorites and I'm so excited for you to hear our conversation!

This week, I share what everyone goes through at one point...QUITTING. Life has been challenging lately I'm not going to lie. I talk about my recent panic attacks and the moment I really contemplated quitting EVERYTHING. But I've quit before....this time wasn't the same as before. This time I have set so many things in motion that it was so much harder to undo all the things I have in motion...like speaking engagements, sponsorships, Magical Mujer Collective...like people actually depend on me now. I share how that thought process went and how a phone call reminded me that the Universe is always working in my favor.

This week, I share my grief story and how celebrating Dia de Los Muertos has been very healing as I mourn my family members that have passed on. I also bring to light that on my birthday day this year, my Abuelito passed away and how I feel super honored that he transitioned on my actual birthday. Even though, I didn't have a relationship with him or got to grow up with him, I always longed for him to be a part of my life and I was making an more intentional effort to practice my Spanish for the day I got to go to Mexico and visit him. Although, meeting him will never happen now, I finally get to share something with him, September 8th. Even though, my family is devastated of his passing, I feel a bit closer to him because he earned his angel wings on my day of birth. This episode was near and dear to my heart. This week, my good friend Sean Sani also known as Brown Papi aka South East Asian Papi came by the studio! We continued our conversation on dating and relating as he is navigating dating life during a pandemic and hearing his point of view from a male perspective. Sean talked about how growing up in a broken home had an affect on his first relationship and how it's helped him understand the choices he's made. We also talked about the catalyst that changed his point of view on how he approaches new relationships and how important it is to be clear about his intentions.

On this week's episode, I reflect on the major life changes that have been happening in my life and how it's affected my family as a whole. Back in December on my final episode of season 3, I had no idea that stepping into being a super expander that my life would take some major uncomfortable turns. We experienced some of the lowest of lows in this challenging season of our lives and now we're trying to recover, process the last 8 months and gently move on.

Let this episode be the reminder for you when life seems like it's falling apart, it's actually falling into place.
