In this episode, we'll be talking about the Enneagram Harmonics Groups continuing with The Emotional Realness Triad (Sometimes called the Reactive Group) - Enneagram Types 4, 6, and 8s. Don Riso and Russ Hudson developed The Harmonic Triads (The Wisdom of the Enneagram). The Harmonic Groups address the coping style or conflict-resolution strategies of all nine Enneagram types. The three Enneagram Harmonic Groups are broken down into the Positive Outlook Group(2,7,9), the Competency Group (1,3,5), and the Emotional Realness Group (4,6,8). Types 4, 6, and 8 all want their feelings and opinions to be known. In times of disappointment or conflict, their problem-solving approach is to lay their cards on the table and get real real. Deep down, they want a truthful, straightforward response from others matching their own intensity.

The Object Relations or Harmony Groups were developed in part by Dr. David Daniels and Riso & Hudson to help us understand how we relate to, connect with, and engage with the world. An object relation is how we influence or are influenced by something/someone else. It is how we express ourselves through other people/things as an expression of a particular parental wound. In this episode, we discuss The Rejection Triad (Relationists).

The Rejection Group is composed of Types 2, 5, and 8. Those with a rejection object relation feel as though others reject them. Since others don't care about their needs, they reject their own needs too. Consequently, their relationships deal with issues like not wanting to be touched or nurtured. In spite of feeling rejected, they believe they only have one gift to offer to prevent future rejections. As a result of these rejections, they develop a sense of self by offering their talent. There is contentment in accepting that one has many gifts to offer the world and that what they perceive might be needed might not be true.

In this episode, we'll be talking about the Enneagram Harmonics Groups continuing with The Competency Group Triad - Enneagram Types 1, 3, and 5s. Don Riso and Russ Hudson developed The Harmonic Triads (The Wisdom of the Enneagram). The Harmonic Groups address the coping style or conflict-resolution strategies of all nine Enneagram types. The three Enneagram Harmonic Groups are broken down into the Positive Outlook Group, the Competency Group, and the Emotional Realness Group. Types 1, 3, and 5 approach problems logically. In times of disappointment or conflict, their problem-solving approach is to approach problems objectively and unemotionally and have specific strengths and challenges when it comes to working within structure or frameworks.

In this episode, we discuss The Attachment Triad (Pragmatists).

The Attachment Group is composed of Types 3, 6, and 9. Those with an attachment object relation feel satisfied if their needs (with people, situations, thoughts) are met, thereby securing a sense of self and stability. As a means of attaching themselves, these types adjust their ways to be consistent with important people and groups they want to be in good regard with. Fitting in, aligning, and thriving with others can be essential to these types. Attaching and detaching from others can also be used as an unconscious habit to prove one's importance and place.

In this episode, we'll be talking about The Hornevian Groups ending our series with The Assertive Stance - Enneagram Types 3, 7, and 8s. Also called The Aggressive Stance, Initiators, Action and Drive, or The Move and Improve Triad, The Assertive Stance are those types that move against people. These types focus on thinking and doing, making them highly outspoken, driven, energetic, independent, and ready to move into action to get what they want, but they repress their feeling center and struggle with coming across as demanding, controlling, and can act without thinking about how their actions affect people. They focus on the self, are future-oriented, and struggle with slowing down, processing emotions, learning from the past, and cheeking in or developing deep relationships with others and themselves. They tend to be natural leaders, entrepreneurial types, or work independently.
