If you have been following Canadian politics from the late 90s to present day – Peter MacKay resonates as a key figure in national and international government portfolios. As Augy and Peter spend time reminiscing - a thread of family values, public service and community representation begin to emerge. In short, this episode reveals a personal and low-key side of Peter that is seldom portrayed in mainstream media.

The community theme of this episode is definitely versatility. Founder and Creative Director of tREv clothing, Trevor Silver, takes time to share his personal success story...embedded in community-minded business savvy. I asked Trevor to be a guest on the podcast when we were both judging a junior high social studies contest. He is an intelligent young man who dropped out of law school to pursue his dream of combing art, fashion and entrepreneurial fire. tREv clothing is centered within the company acronym: trust, Respect, Educate, value. From a high school experience that bridged two traditionally tense communities, to gaining entrance to a prestigious law school, to creating his own limousine company...Trevor Silver has a knack for reaching career goals and extending them. His openness to sharing industry information and to explicitly name those who mentored him speaks to his community commitment.
