Emotional Support Water Bottle - We Want to Focus on the Salad (Martha Stewart Doc & RHOC Recaps)
play

11/15/24 • 90 min

A lot of news broke this week, but one of the most important stories to us was Megan Fox announcing her pregnancy with MGK. We still aren’t sure the status of their relationship, but we’re excited that they’re welcoming a rainbow baby into the world and love seeing a tiny glimpse into their, now private, lives. Teddi Mellencamp allegedly had an affair with her married horse trainer which led to her recently announcing her divorce. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem that Teddi nor Edwin have the same philosophy as Martha Stewart when it comes to stepping outside a marriage! Hannah also watched It’s What’s Inside, and Ailish watched Don’t Move, which are both Netflix Original thrillers.

Part 1 of the RHOC reunion was filled with conflict that doesn’t seem to get resolved. They rehash Heather’s paparazzi “scandal”, Ryan’s alleged plea deal, and Shannon’s relationship with alcohol. With two more parts still to come, we hope they stick to topics that we saw on this season since many things getting brought up here seemed to happen years ago, or when the cameras were down.

Emotional Support Water Bottle - The Pros and Cons of Reality TV (RHOSLC & RHOBH Recaps)
play

12/06/24 • 114 min

Welcome to this festive, winter addition of Emotional Support Water Bottle! Hannah and Ailish both have their decorations up and it’s blustery and snowy outside. Even though we felt like we didn’t consume much in terms of media this week, we still found things to talk about for almost two hours. We touch on the weekend release of Moana 2 and how it shattered the Wicked numbers, Hannah shocks Ailish by admitting she had never watched Love Actually, and we talk about our upcoming trip to see Suki Waterhouse in concert.

In Bravo news, we discuss the shocking and raw conversation between Mary Cosby and Robert Jr. on RHOSLC and debate whether moments like this on reality tv are needed or exploitative. This brings us into a conversation about times people have clearly been exploited on reality tv and how it’s always murky waters when substance abuse is involved. Since we haven’t really recapped RHOBH yet, we mashed the first three episodes into one recap this week. While we both are Kyle fans, we can’t help but to lean more on Dorit’s side on this one...

If you love us, leave us comments on social media and YouTube, or write a review with your 5-star rating. If you write us a nice review, DM us and we’ll send you some of our new stickers! Emotional Support Water Bottle - Book Club: Greenlights by Matthew McConaughey

To wrap up July, we have our Book Club episode. Overall, we can both say that Greenlights by Matthew McConaughey was a very entertaining listen. We definitely do not do his storytelling justice in this episode and please don’t judge us for our horrific Texas accents. This is one we would absolutely recommend. Before our book review, we reminisced about the horrors of vintage America’s Next Top Model, and the modern-day horrors of Dave Portnoy. We also do a live taste test of some Deux cookies that Ailish slightly underbaked. Still good though! Be sure to use our promo code eswbpod at checkout for 10% off your order. Don’t forget to interact with us by voting in the episode poll, answering the Q&A, and leaving reviews on the podcast in general. We love to hear your feedback! Ailish’s Recommendation: Isle of Paradise Self-tanning Oil Mist

Hannah’s Recommendation: TheraBreath Mouthwash
Deux Good-For-You-Cookie Dough - Do you love cookie dough, but hate the fact that you can’t just safely eat it right out of the bowl and that it isn’t the best for you? Well, Deux has a solution! They’ve developed cookie doughs that you can eat right from the jar or bake for a delicious cookie. All their doughs have added ingredients like ginseng, vitamin D, and reishi that add to their nutritional value. In this episode, we tried the Salted Peanut Butter Cup enhanced cookie dough which was made in collaboration with Rachael’s Good Eats. On the podcast this week, Hannah and Ailish talk about the Emmys and the big winners of the night. We also both watched the new Netflix movie, Uglies, with Joey King and Chase Stokes. The movie was about what you would expect, and we wonder if some actors have contracts with Netflix or if they’re just easy to work with and can’t resist the paycheck. This leads us into a conversation about Letterboxd culture and how some reviews feel more like the TikTok comment section.

The feud between Shannon and Alexis continues on RHOC. We may be on the wrong side of history here, but we can’t help but feel like Alexis was making some good points when she was talking to Emily. Again, we end up feeling like the victim edit that Shannon is getting really overshadows some serious behavior from her that is going unaddressed. The rest of this episode is devoted to the Katie/Heather/Gina drama that no one really cares about at this point.

Ready for more Book Club? This month, we’re finally reading Rebel Rising by Rebel Wilson. Get on that waitlist so you can read along with us! This week on Emotional Support Water Bottle, Hannah and Ailish give their take on the possibility of the Menendez brothers getting resentenced. As you listen to this episode, there will probably be updated information and, who knows, the brothers could be getting ready to walk free after serving nearly 35 years. Hannah recently watched Don’t Worry Darling which lead to a discussion about the drama that surrounded the movie, the possibility of Shia LaBeouf starring instead of Harry Styles, and Olivia Wilde’s skills as a director. Ailish has been listening to the Witnessed podcast which got us thinking about popular conspiracy theories in light of all the Diddy allegations. Didn’t that start as a conspiracy too?

In RHOC, the ladies are still in London. This episode was filled with gossip and petty drama which can get annoying when it’s drug out for too long. (Ahem. Talking to you, Gina) Everyone is just talking about everyone at this point which caused Shannon to dig up some two-year-old text messages to really stir the pot between Jenn and Tamra. We had to hand it to Jenn, she finally found her voice! Unfortunately, we can’t help but wonder for how long.

Our Book Club will be pushed back a bit this month. If you’re planning on reading along with us, we’re reading Men Have Called Her Crazy by Anna Marie Tendler. Emotional Support Water Bottle - Alexis Earns Her Pay (RHOC & Love is Blind Recaps)
play

11/23/24 • 98 min

It’s our 90th episode! We celebrated by having a slight technical difficulty, so we apologize for the change in audio about a quarter of the way through. In this episode, we discuss Liam Payne’s funeral, Kylie Jenner’s clothing line, celebrities in wigs, and the My Old Ass plot twist. We also give our thoughts on the news season of Love Is Blind and Emelia Perez which is oddly getting Oscar buzz.

Part 2 of the RHOC reunion covered most of the conflicts with the ladies. Emily decides she can make rude comments about others because she’s funny, Jenn defends Ryan until she’s blue in the face, and Shannon forgets that her career is also reality tv. RHOBH has also begun, so be sure to tune in for our recaps on that season!

Our Book Club episode will be next week! Make sure to finish reading Men Have Called Her Crazy by Anna Marie Tendler, so you can follow along and give your thoughts. If you love us, leave us comments on social media and YouTube, or write a review with your 5-star rating. If you write us a nice review, DM us and we’ll send you some of our new stickers! This week, Alex Cooper gifted us with a Megan Fox interview on Call Her Daddy and it gave us life. Megan doesn’t do a ton of interviews like this, so it was fun to hear her speak so openly about some topics she doesn’t usually address. We clearly can’t get enough and you already know how much we love Megan if you listened to this past episode. Hannah also recently watched the Eras Tour movie and shares the differences between that and being there live. This gets us wondering how Taylor Swift will be able to tour in the future. How could any tour top this one?? We get a little spooky discussing the Riley Strain case and our own experience helping someone who was lost during a night out. VPR was kind of lack luster this week and felt like a choppy, Franenstein episode. The scenes seemed kind of random and nothing really had a great flow. The details from the After Show continue to give more insight and we were pretty disappointed in some of Lala’s comments about Ariana and Katie. Watching Sandoval have his “sexy singles pool party” was boarderline painful, and we aren’t buying his schtick that he doesn’t know how to talk to women anymore. He didn’t have a problem doing that before...The shining moment of this episode for us was when Jax came on the screen. Hannah described it as “surreal” and Ailish felt he brought the juice back to VPR. Love him or hate him, but there’s no denying that Jax is great for reality TV. The transition from VPR to The Valley wasn’t as seamless as the RHOBH to VPR transition, but how can they really top that? We’re not sure if we’ll watch The Valley weekly, but we were both pleasantly surprised by the first episode. Don’t forget to follow our socials, leave some feedback and a rating, and give us a follow on Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Podcasts. We’d love to interact with all of you more! So grab your water bottles, and look out for new episodes every Friday! Our Recommendation: Megan Fox on Call Her DaddyDeux Good-For-You-Cookie Dough - Use code waterbottle for 10% off your order and FREESHIPPING off orders of $30 or more.

The first episode of 2024 is here! We rang it in the best possible way by finally watching Saltburn and we think it lived up to the hype. While we weren’t as shocked as some people by certain scenes, the movie has still been consuming our thoughts since then. The 2000s nostalgia this movie brings to millennials is like no other, and Jacob Elordi and Barry Keoghan are added bonuses. Does anyone else feel a strange attraction or Barry?? Speaking of, we also talk about award’s season, who’s nominated, and if we’ll be tuning in.

We also gave a quick wrap up of our holidays, gave our two cents about Gypsy Rose’s recent release from prison and social media blowup, and some long-standing Tana Mogeau drama. Since our Bravo shows were on a small break over the holidays, we’re also gearing up for their return this week! If you've been missing our Book Club, don’t worry! We’ll be starting that up again after the New Year. Tell us if you have any books you’d like us to start the year off with!So grab your water bottles, and look out for new episodes every Friday!

Emotional Support Water Bottle - Lying in London (RHOC Recap + VS Fashion Show & Liam Payne)
play

10/18/24 • 114 min

Hannah and Ailish mourn Liam Payne this week as the shocking news of his passing breaks. It’s difficult to comprehend the accident and to think the first member of the iconic boy band, One Direction, is no longer with us. To switch gears, we also recap the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show which made a comeback after a hiatus. The vibe is definitely different, but that’s not a bad thing! We loved the show overall and loved all the surprise angels on the runway. Hannah has been watching the Alien movies as Halloween approaches, so she gives her thoughts so far, and Ailish talks about her recent road trip that took longer than expected.

In Bravo news, Tamra Judge announced on her podcast that she believes she’s on the spectrum after one appointment with a therapist. Is she using this “diagnosis” as an excuse for her bad behavior? In recapping last week’s episode, we move farther and farther away from Camp Shannon’s the Victim. Things just aren’t adding up and every time she’s confronted by an inconsistency or flat out lie, she runs away. At least they're all in London which has to make her behavior a little more tolerable.
