The purpose of Ps. 115 is to anchor God’s people – to stabilize, and orient God’s people – for as long as they remain in the “land in between.

When the wicked prosper, when evil is unchecked, look to Jesus, God is not sitting off, he is punishing the wicked and delivering the oppressed. When evil abounds, make it known to God - in your prayers ask him for his will to be done on earth, that the oppressed may be freed from the power of the wicked. "Indeed God considers it just to repay with affliction those who afflict you, and to grant relief to you who are afflicted as well as to us, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire, inflicting vengeance on those who do not know God and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus." 2 Thessalonians 1:6-8
