Understanding the Heart Part. 1
Its important as providers that we understand the heart and how it pumps our blood throughout the body. This episode talks about the mechanical function of the heart and school for thought on assessing these patients. With a growing population of cardiac patients, our goal is to figure out how we can provide the best care for these patients. The first step is always by learning. The more we know, the more we will be able to help our patients in a time of need. P.S. sorry for being sick.

The Sleepy Paramedic (TikTok star makes a big mistake)
Zac Crickenberger makes a huge mistake by posting a video of a story of himself playing a song that mocks a patient with dwarfism. Its important as providers that we look into what happened and why it did when situations like this occur. Was it because of his character? Or a field that has little assistance for mental health? Listen for yourselves and make a determination on what you believe is true.
Disclaimer: Zac has since made a public apology for his actions and has seeked out counseling. This is not a cancel culture episode and is posted for educational purposes on public awareness.
