BENJAMIN LUNDQUIST is the Young Adult Ministries Director for the Oregon Conference and also serves as the Young Adult Ministries Coordinator for the North American Division. Benjamin has an M.A. in Youth and Young Adult Ministry from Andrews University. He has spearheaded a variety of innovative young adult ministry projects and mentoring models. He is passionate about inspiring young adults to become growing followers of Jesus and leaders for His cause. Ben and his wife Kim spend much of the year investing in the lives of the the next generation through camps, retreats, speaking appointments, and simply sharing their life with others.

Marty Miller is a lifelong disciple of Christ, the loving husband of his first wife, the proud father of two adult children, and has most recently become an exuberant grandfather! Marty’s career path has been primarily in the field of education having served in both public and private sectors from California to Tennessee. He has held positions that include elementary school principal, multi-grade teacher, middle school science teacher, high school science teacher, nature center director, outdoor school director, educational consultant, university education professor, student teacher supervisor, and outdoor leadership program director. He is a well-recognized outdoor professional with skills and certifications that include WMI/NOLS Wilderness First Responder, ACA Swift Water Rescue, and AIARE Avalanche Safety. Marty is gifted at discovering and sharing spiritual lessons from nature, God’s second book, as modeled by Jesus Christ, the master educator. Now, after nearly 30 years in education, Marty has transitioned into full-time ministry by creating Blueprint for Men, a non-profit men’s ministry devoted to helping men discover and live out their God-given design in a secular world. Through outdoor retreats, small group support, leadership training, and curriculum development, Marty is helping men to step up and become the men God intended them to be, better husbands, better fathers, and better disciples of Christ! Austin Bates is a sophomore theology major at Southern Adventist University. He has a passion for music ministry in the Adventist church and is chasing God’s call to be a youth pastor in an urban setting. Tim's favorite places tend to involve kayaks, campfires, books and tools. His greatest desire is to nudge others closer to Jesus.

Currently, he is a third-year doctoral student at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and his research interests are Black male outcomes in urban and suburban Christian schools. He and his wife Aleya have 4 sons Jeremiah, James, John, and Joshua. His favorite scripture Isaiah 61:1-3.
Ryan Ashlock has served as pastor of the University City Seventh-day Adventist Church since 2012. He has a passion for helping people connect with God, understand how Christian faith is based on reason and evidence, and think through the implications of the gospel for life, work, and relationships. Ryan and his wife Laura, have three teenage daughters. Prior to coming to Charlotte, the Ashlocks spent five years in Thailand where Ryan taught religion classes at Asia-Pacific International University and served as senior pastor of the University Church.

Pastor Luke Steen is a pastor serving in Marietta GA. He is passionate about sharing the grace of Jesus to anyone and everyone. Pastor Luke did not grow up a Christian but came to Christ after having been cut from an Ice Hockey team at the age of 18. He began studying the Bible for himself and through personal study found his greatest friend in Jesus and the truth of the Adventist message. He felt the call to pursue ministry at his baptism in August of 2013 so he attended Southern Adventist University graduating with his degree in Theology. Pastor Luke is married to his beautiful wife Carissa. They currently have no kids, but have a dog named Esua.
Jonathan Rodney is a 25-year-old Chicagoland native who loves to travel, learn foreign languages, do anything music-related, surf, and learn more about God and His plans for him.

Chris Sauve is the associate pastor at the Chattanooga First SDA Church. He was born in Fletcher, NC to Jerry and Retha Sauve. He is married to a beautiful woman named Rebecca, and they have a nice little family (a dog and a cat). He is a recent graduate of the religion program from Southern Adventist University. From a young age, he felt the call of the Lord to work in Adventist churches. He hopes, through ministry and the power of Christ, to see revival among those in his local community, and those to whom he can reach.
Isabela (Isa) Tavares is a Communications Studies major at Southern Adventist University. She grew up in Brazil and can confirm that soccer there actually is a big deal. She loves singing, taking pictures, petting dogs, and a bunch of other things that she’s still trying to fit all into one career.

Jon Daniel is currently a graduate student at Southern Adventist University, pursuing a master's degree in clinical mental health and counseling. Previously he spent 6 years doing youth ministry. Jon and his wife, Kim, live in Ooltewah TN and enjoy hiking trails, exploring coffee shops and other stereotypical millennial activities.

Kevin Christenson is originally from Kettering, Ohio, where Kevin attended Spring Valley Academy and graduated Southern Adventist University with Bachelor’s degrees in International Business. During his time at SAU, he created the comedy sketch show Studio 4109: LIVE and starred as “Ashpenaz” in the 2014 Oshkosh Camporee: Daniel (and its documentary film) After interning for several years with Kettering Health Network in marketing and communications, he went into the booming Atlanta film industry. Kevin worked on major film and TV sets alongside A-list actors, musicians, directors, and producers; learning the industry’s best practices to help the church produce better storytelling. Jessica Williams is an Admissions Counselor at Southern Adventist University. For 13 years she taught Bible at Loma Linda Academy, and was heavily involved in the planning of SECC’s Junior-Senior Bible Conferences and One Life Retreats. During her time at LLA, she was also a pilot teacher and contributor to the NAD Encounter High School Bible Curriculum. Jessica earned a B.A. in Theology and Religious Education from Southern Adventist University in 2005 and a M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from La Sierra University in 2018. In her spare time she enjoys travelling, snowskiing, spending time with family and friends, being active in the great outdoors, and curling up with a good book on a rainy day.
Harold Carvajal is a sophomore at Southern Adventist University. He was born in Paterson, New Jersey, but has lived in Cocoa, Florida since he was 6 years old. He is currently majoring in Finance, with the goal of working for SpaceX after he graduates. He is 18 years old, and will be turning 19 in May. Harold enjoys the outdoors greatly, so anything that deals with nature usually captures his interest. Since he has lived near the water for most of his life, many of his hobbies and interests deal with water and aquatic life. He loves to go swimming, fishing, and boating whenever he can while in Florida. However, while he is here in Tennessee, he does a lot of photography and hiking around the campus during his spare time. He also does a lot of longboarding whenever he gets a chance to. He enjoys going on road trips and exploring different places. He also loves learning about new cultures and new languages. Currently, he only knows Spanish and English, but has a goal of studying Italian over the summer.
