A long time ago in galaxy far, far away I used to be the furthest left it's possible to be politically. I now find so much of progressive discourse (some of which has seeped into mainstream 'liberal' politics more broadly) very annoying, irrational, and worse. That's this week's topic.

Labour suffered a huge defeat in the recent general election. Why was this? Partly because they simply refused to respect the Brexit vote despite repeatedly promising to do so. And partly because they (and others on the left more broadly) have a tendency to seek to depict any views they disagree with as beyond the pale, to have the people expressing those views no platformed, and so on. There is also the issue of Corbyn hanging around with some of the most unsavoury, bigoted characters on earth, and the hypocrisy of that.

E2 Review: Politics, Discussion, Debate - Response to the London Bridge Terror Attack (Short Episode)
play

12/01/19 • 4 min

A very quick episode in response to the disgusting terror attack in London this week. Parts of the media have simply refused to mention the words 'Islamism' or 'Jihadism' at all in relation to this attack. That amounts to shielding this murderous ideology from critique. I discuss this and reflect on the week's horrific events.
