Dungeons & Diapers

This week's episode of Dungeons and Diapers is full of all sorts of recommendations to keep your geeky mind distracted as the world spirals into the abyss including, but not limited to: comedy specials (Seinfeld!), podcasts (Marvels!), one-man Netflix concert spectaculars (Springsteen!), video games (The Last of Us Part Deux), and more! All of that and the competing continuing tales of Crofton's Divinity adventures and Ryan's backyard landscaping adventures.

A new Murphy has arrived as Ryan's daughter Isabelle joins the fray and the man himself provides the details of how it all went down. A birth is stressful at the best of times but throw in a global pandemic and you have a story. Speaking of which, Crofton goes on a full tilt rant about the merits of Animal Crossing after the boys compare notes on pandemic living with kids but before they compare notes on Half-Life Alyx. All of that and a full mailbag too. It is a long one but a good one - come listen!

It may be a New Year but it is the same old Dungeons and Diapers you love. Ryan and Crofton share holiday notes including some gifts that were hits with the kids. Ryan finally sees Spider-Man: No Way Home and Crofton plunges into the forests of Valheim. Gwen schools her dad at Catan Junior while Ryan survives school closures. All of this and the boys share thoughts on the news bombshell of Activision being bought by Microsoft. Come listen!

It is spring breeeeeeeak! Crofton and Ryan handle it in different ways. One jets off for Mexico and brings back tales of the land down under (sorry Australia) while the other returns to his traditional hunting grounds of the Toronto Zoo. Both of them saw lots of animals! None of which impressed Crofton as much as his new arcade machine. He has almost as much love for it that he does for Marvel's Midnight Suns. All of this and popular (?) segments "BookWatch2023" and "Crofton Side of CORE" also return.

Ryan and Crofton return to report back on their slow re-introduction to school during these COVID-19 times. Tune in next episode when they have a few weeks under their belt to see how things went! Ryan introduces this years promo for Extra Life, and should be a lot of fun content for the show and torture for Ryan as he is forced to digest even more Children's programming. In the Dungeons, Crofton has been enjoying Umbrella Academy Season 2 and Rita on Netflix, while Ryan gets his Avengers on in with the new PlayStation 4 game. In a bridge between the two segments, Ryan is forced to admit that Crofton is mostly right, as the new God of War book "B is for Boy" is more satirical than actual kids book (about 90% of it is FINE for kids, just need to do a little self sensor and skip a page or two). In the Diapers, Crofton has been thoroughly enjoying Child of Light as the follow up to Paper Mario The Origami King with Gwen. Ryan, not wanting the Paper Mario fun to end, dusts off the Wii U and picks up Paper Mario Color Splash. We close the show with Listener Feedback and Children's Book suggestions!
