INTERVIEW: Maggie Li, Co-Producer of Ascension (2022 Oscar Nominee for Best Documentary)

Dick interviews Maggie Li (a modern-day Renaissance woman from Lianyungang, China) about her entrance into the filmmaking world, her role as Co-Producer in Ascension, and what went on behind the scenes of this four-year passion project. Directed by Jessica Kingdon, Ascension had its world premiere at the 2021 Tribeca Film Festival, where it won Best Documentary Feature. Ascension is one of five nominees for Best Documentary Feature at the 2022 Academy Awards.
