Don't Close Your Eyes is Montana's longest-running and most-popular live radio theatre presentation! Each week during the summer, writer/directors Ryan Cassavaugh and Keith Suta take turns writing and presenting a brand-new one-hour play in a variety of genres from the golden age of radio! Since 2011, DCYE has produced weekly radio plays all summer long at Bozeman's Verge Theater! Each new play is written in just one week previous in order to recreate the vibrant energy and demands of live radio! The genres are as wide-ranging as the schedule is tight: sci-fi, comedy, western, thriller, comedy, and more! Presented live on stage with multi-voiced casts and entirely analog sound effects, DCYE is a unique and original anthology production that the whole family can enjoy! With a little extra money in their bank account (for the first time), Bigfish convinces Elmer that it's time to invest in the Sport of Kings! Verne is not keen, and decides to partner with Mr. Willerby in remodeling the Ityl-Dew Hotel into The Carnegie-Hall-South Palladium Orpheum
Imperial Globe Theater For Acting and Such -- so they decide to split up on get-rich quick schemes! Before you know it, they'll face the wrath of the Appalachian Mafia, headed up by 'Ma' Brodie and her evil sons! It's hectic hillbilly farce that will make you guffaw!

Recorded live in the sweltering outdoors at Bozeman, Montana's Sweet Pea Festival on August 5, 2012! What you hear is what the audience heard with no overdubs and minimal post-production to try to make it comfortable to your ears! In this second season, we had not yet made the decision to have entirely analog effects, instead integrating analog effects supplemented by some digital sound work!

Jimmy escapes into the exciting and spooky adventures of Doctor Aberrant -- wanting to grow up to be a Monsterologist, just like his radio hero! His friend Cordelia (who is definitely NOT his babysitter) tells him that monsters are all made-up. Until those holes appear in the walls... Until people in the building start dying... Until Jimmy must face a monster.

1901: Divinia von Presterton and Lord Tiberius Q. Braithwaite are assisting their friend, Nikola Tesla, in his latest experiment -- beaming messages into space! Unfortunately, the recipients found the messages a little TOO inviting. Soon, someone has landed in New Jersey and only Divinia holds the key to saving humankind -- or so says renowned psychic Victoria Woodhull! To save the day, she will need the help of her father (though he's only a brain in a jar), Tesla, Tiberius, and re-zombified Benjamin Franklin to save the Earth from invaders from Mars!

In a past not too different from our own, men and women take to the skies in airships and dirigibles; conquer the world with electricity and steam! When America's foremost adventuress, Divinia von Presterton, is denied entrance to the all-male Metcalfe Society she challenges the club's president to a race around the world! Along the way they'll meet Tesla, Annie Oakley, Henry Ford, Queen Victoria, a slightly zombified Benjamin Franklin, and Thomas Edison and his terrible death ray! It's steampunk adventure and comedy in a splendid vision of days gone by!

Coincidentally enough, that very day Amanda Neeley hires them to track down her brother -- who got on a plane to London and vanished before it arrived!
