UPWARD Dogology episodes contain a Learning Journey and a SnipPet. The Journey describes the process, challenges and successes with a client and their dog. The SnipPets are tidbits of info, tips, “what’s trending”, opinions and advice from experts on anything and everything dog related.
Learning Journey: In this episode, Billie introduces us to Kelvin and his dog, Zeus. Zeus is nervous of new people coming into the home or on walks if they pay too much attention to him. And then, due to an incident, afraid to go on neighborhood walks.
The SnipPet Piece is a true or false segment, that touches on three topics 1) are emaciated dogs, when homed, more likely to be in need of impulse control training than other rescued dogs? 2) Is the honey-moon period a myth? 3) How effective is the gentle leader?

UPWARD Dogology episodes contain a Learning Journey and a SnipPet. The Learning Journey describes the process, challenges and successes with a client and their dog. The SnipPet Pieces are tidbits of info, tips, “what’s trending”, opinions and advice from experts on anything and everything dog related.
In this Learning Journey, Billie introduces us to Roxanne and her dog, Dezi. Dezi got a bit of a bum rap in his early life and is nervous of people, causing him to bite. Although the bite incidences appear unpredictable, Roxanne learns how to read Dezi and prevent bites by changing his perception of his need to bite.
The SnipPet Piece describes one of many times Billie learns of, and tries to make sense of, a common technique recommended to address unpredictable behaviour. Are you frustrated by commonly recommended techniques? Learn why it is NOT YOUR FAULT.
Season 5 is a "Dogology" (kinda like a mixology) of tips, Q and A's, interviews, discussions and a deeper look into the 3 components of UPWARD Dogology all with the goal of increasing awareness and making the world a better place for all animals, including humans! Season 4 is interviews with people and organizations that help animals. Increase your awareness and be part of the solution by listening, sharing, and reviewing. Season 3 dives deep into trending methods. Are they right for you and your dog? Season 2 shares the learning journey of my clients with dogs with different issues and backgrounds; always interesting and a great way to feel a connections with others who have similar experiences. Season 1 starts by sharing my unique learning journey and then dives into why positive reinforcement training (and practices under that "umbrellas") are often limiting, ineffective and/or counter-productive with dogs over 6 months. It finishes with an introduction into cognitive behavioural therapy and UPWARD Dogology.

In this episode Billie takes us through the Learning Journey of Cam and Lynn and their dogs Molly and Max. Molly is a calm, mature dog and Max is just over 6 months old. Molly started to snap at Max at three specific times - these are factors that are important to Molly, requiring Cam and Lynn to apply methods that change the way Max views them and, in turn, change the way Molly views Max.
The SnipPet Piece discusses different types of trainers/behaviourists and why they may, or may be, a good match for your needs and your dog's personality.
