This week’s episode we had the pleasure of talking with Adam Sharif, Founder and Chief Strategist of nxtCRE.

Adam has over 25 years of experience in Commercial Real Estate (“CRE”)finance in development. Most recently, he has founded a company, nxtCRE, which is a fintech that is shaking up the CRE finance industry. nxtCRE partners with lenders to help them better serve their clients who are seeking to enter a 1031 exchange. Adam has create a powerful platform that gives lenders a digital line of sight on their clients reinvestment needs while also giving value to investors and brokers through an anonymous matchmaking process.

Sharif, who previously ran the equities transaction group for GMAC Commercial Mortgage, says that until recently, digital capabilities for commercial real estate deals weren’t as advanced as they are today as everything was done in analog. After leaving GMAC to start his own real estate development and investment firm. Sharif got the idea about three years ago to tackle the problem by using technology to allow lender partners to provide additional services to their borrowers that would otherwise be lost to them.

The objective is to sign as many lenders as possible to create more access to 1031 buyers’ reinvestment profiles and match them with anyone who has a property to sell, Sharif says. These buyers tend to be among the most desirable in the marketplace because they have cash on hand and a short time frame to make a decision, which improves the probability of closing a deal.

Sarah Dobroka Cooley is back for another fun filled conversation around an emerging trend in the commercial real estate space. We discussed our experiences, our views, fantasy football, and the many facets of competitive socializing.
Competitive socializing concepts are also emerging across suburban landscapes, where their popularity is growing among multigenerational families seeking ways to connect and spend time together. According to research from Cushman & Wakefield, the concept of competitive socializing has grown 386% since the beginning of 2021—making it very clear that while people love to eat and drink, and people love to play games, what they love most is being able to do it together with their friends, family and colleagues in a fun, lively atmosphere.
