Disney World And Beyond - 11: Clash of the Over/Under Rated Attractions

11: Clash of the Over/Under Rated Attractions

10/22/19 • 93 min

Disney World And Beyond

Yeah, we're going there. We wanted to find out which theme park attractions are way over rated, and which ones deserve more love than they typically get. And we invited Dave along, so be warned-you'll probably violently disagree with at least one thing he says. Don't at us, bro-take it up with Dave!

First the news, where we discuss the recent reopening of the Disney Skyliner transportation system, menu changes at Star Wars Galaxy's Edge, and some more strange AirBnB offerings in what just might become a new regular segment of the show.

I don't want to ruin the main discussion segment for you- it's more fun waiting to find out which column we put all your favorite attractions and restaurants into. But do make sure you stick around until the end of the show for details on how you can win a free trip to Walt Disney World Resort courtesy of Key to the World Travel and Theme Park Professor in their Disney Do-Over Sweepstakes.

As always, a huge thank you to our sponsor, Key to the World Travel. For all your travel needs, Key to the World's expert travel advisors are standing by. Make sure you tell them the Gold Key Adventurers sent you!

Thanks to Outer Vibe for the use of their song Hoka Hey off of the album Hoka Hey as the intro and outro of show. For tour dates, merch, music and more, be sure to check them out at www.outervibe.com.

Make sure you subscribe to the show to make sure you don't miss a single week of adventure. While you're at it, how about leaving us a rating and review? It helps other adventurers find our show.

Word of mouth is the best way for us to grow our show-if you have a friend or two who might enjoy our particular brand of adventure and silliness, send them our way. The Gold Key Adventurers Society is always looking for new members!

Remember, life is short and the world is wide. So go have an adventure!

10: EPCOT Time Machine and Disney Do Over Contest Announcement!

Hey McFly!

Since Dave seems to have EPCOT on the brain lately, we decided to take a trip back in time to reminisce about our favorite lost attractions from days of EPCOT past. But first, the news. We discuss the opening of the Enchanted Rose bar at Walt Disney World's Grand Floridian Resort, travel social media job opportunities, creepy and kooky hotels and some very large animals. Then Heather teases a big announcement-make sure you stick around to the end of the show, when we tell you how you can enter for a chance to win a trip to Walt Disney World in the Disney Do Over contest, courtesy of Theme Park Professor and Key to the World Travel!

Highlights of this week's discussion include:

  • Dave gets philosophical
  • Everyone loved the Wonders of Life Pavilion, but what was up with The Making of Me?
  • Communicore > Innoventions
  • We want more of the hands on "science museum" type exhibits in the post show area of attractions
  • The whole Imagination pavilion used to be, like, really good!
  • We already miss IllumiNations
