Setbacks, Obstacles and Podcasting
Digital Creator
09/28/21 • 12 min
Welcome to Digital Podcaster with Dylan Schmidt.
Today I'm talking about lessons I've learned from breaking the same rib multiple times. I'm a jiu jitsu practitioner...for those who don't know what jiu jitsu is, it's a martial art.
About 10 months ago I broke a rib while training, and every few months instead of healing I kept re-injuring myself. Well, I'm back to normal, and I thought I'd share some lessons I've learned in the past year.
These same lessons you can take and apply to your podcast, business, content, really anywhere where you're trying to get to the next level.
Setbacks can be frustrating, especially if you are just starting out. You're trying to get your podcast up and running, but every time you prepare to launch something happens that forces you back into re-doing everything.
It can be very frustrating.
But there is a lesson to be found in the setbacks...and that's what I'm sharing with you today.
Take a listen and enjoy!

Creating Content and Confidence With Bret Shuford
Digital Creator
11/16/21 • 48 min
One of my favorite things about creating content is the edit button.
I love that I can edit/mix/match/string pieces of content together to get my point across.
One thing that's always stuck out as wild to me is performances like Broadway don't have the ability to edit.
When you're performing, you're in the moment, you're there...there's no real opportunities for do-overs.
I was lucky enough to pick @bretshufords brain about confidence and creativity in this weeks episode of Digital Podcaster with Dylan Schmidt.
If the idea of performing for an audience gives you even the slightest bit of nausea, you've gotta listen to this episode.
Bret is on another level with his helpful advice and actionable tips you implement immediately after listening.
Give it a listen and enjoy!
