There are a number of ancient manuscripts and translations of the scriptures: the Masoretic Text, the Vulgate, and the Dead Sea Scrolls just to name a few. Henry Smith talks about one of them today with Dr. William Ross, and this one is called the Septuagint, which is the Old Testament translated into Greek.

Dr. Ross is Associate Professor of Old Testament at Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte, N.C., and the Septuagint is his main area of academic study.
