Jive gets into the concept of Passive Suicidal ideation, or “Passive S.I.” as the kids call it on TikTok these days. If you think about dying too much, that in itself, may kill you.
Stay alive. Dying is currently overrated.

From Charles Manson and his recent “interviewer” ('Making Manson' on Peacock) to Luigi the Alleged Assassin — and maybe even that vanished MAGA kid who allegedly shot Trump in the ear, everybody wants to be noticed for their own righteous cause. But, how far is too far? What happens when the copycat heroes start sharing their madness on social media? The entertainment industry has taken over news, sports, politics, and now ... terror? Podcast Q&A

Why did you start this show?

To try and get more people to talk about their mental health as comfortably as they talk about their physical health. Since then, the channel has had many different names and formats.

What do you hope listeners gain from listening to your show?

That's its beneficial to acknowledge your feelings, moods, and emotions — but its everyone's personal responsibility to manage their own.

Which episode should someone start with?

Play an episode with a title that tickles your fancy.

Which have been your favourite episodes so far?

Episodes where I get to interview a listener one-on-one.

Which episode are you most proud of?

The episodes that made a difference to the guests.

What is your vision for your show?

I would like to make the show more consistent, develop some recurring bits, and ultimately pitch it to a media company so I can pay the rent.

What is your favourite other podcast that isn't yours?

I'm a huge fan of Marc Maron's WTF because I like his mellow, but deep interview style.

How did you come up with the name for your podcast?

It's a workout studio for your emotions ... dojo means studio, and emo is short for emotions. So, Emo Dojo! is the name of our recording studio in Oklahoma City. Signal Jams refers to culture jamming and a nod to the hosts' original public-access show in San Francisco called TV Pirates. Instead of TV, it's now a signal. Instead of pirates, we're too dudes jamming ... like musicians in a band. But, talking. Signal Jams! Deviant Lounge is our home for inspiring ideas about the future.

Tell us a bit about yourself

I have a background in music, marketing, and broadcast media production. I've been podcasting as a hobby for many years.
