Simon Christensen, Silkeborg Kommune, Denmark explains how a structured partnership approach of investment from Local Government and nature protection agencies has helped grow the trail network working with volunteers.

They have pledged to donate $1 million over the next three years towards trail projects, local organisations, events and programs that are geared towards creating and strengthening opportunities for people to get out on the trails.
