The DetBlock Crew brings you all of their insight and opinions about the most recent episode [Part 8], titled "The Jedi, The Witch, and The Warlord" from the Ahsoka Disney+ show. Congratulations to the DetBlock Crew as they have now published their 75th #episode! Quite the milestone for them as they are merely months away from their 2nd anniversary of releasing their 1st episode! They are also only a few downloads away from reaching another big milestone!
To start the episode off, the Crew catch up and talk through the upcoming life changing events they have coming. Greg and his wife are expecting child number 2 on May 31st and Mike and his wife are expecting child number 1 on June 13th. Dustin and his wife are also expecting child number 2, but still have a little more time. Due to all of the future little padawans being born, the Crew might be hit or miss on releasing episodes the upcoming weeks/months. However, they will do what they can to keep bringing you all content! Jump to about the 11:00 minute mark if you want to get right to the Star Wars content.
Getting back on topic of Star Wars, the Crew then dive into some tragic news in Star Wars. The first being the news of the passing of Ray Stevenson, the voice actor for Gar Saxon in Rebels and the actor who portrays Baylan Skoll in the upcoming Ahsoka show. He is also know for many, many amazing roles, including in Marvel's Thor movies, King Arthur, The Punisher, RRR, Rome, Vikings, Dexter, the Divergent series, and more. He will be greatly missed and our hearts and prayers go out to him, his family and friends.
Following that, the next tragic news is the announcement of the closing of Star Wars immersive hotel experience, the Galactic Cruiser. With being not even 2 years old, the announcement comes as a way for Disney to cut costs. To be honest, this news isn't exactly surprising, especially due to the cost to go for 2 people or a family of 4; however, it is still sad to hear to say the least. Mike, Dustin and Greg dive in to details behind this.
With Dustin having to jump off, Mike and Greg may or may not go on some major tangents that dive into history events and/or astronomy. Things like Medieval Times, history of the universe, parallel universes, other intelligent life out there and string theory... things like that. However, they then go a bit into the upcoming Star Wars films that are said to be still in the works along with getting Greg's opinions of the first episode of Visions volume 2.

Greg is back! We missed him.
With The Mandalorian season 3 now being over, the DetBlock crew look to discuss some of the recent news in the Star Wars universe. To start, the next biggest release is about to hit store on Friday, April 28th. You guessed it, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Greg and Mike take a little time to get excited about the upcoming game that can be played on Playstation, Xbox and PC.
Following that, a little shout out goes out to one of everyone's favorite Star Wars actresses and characters as she will be honored with her name on a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame... FINALLY! Very well deserved.
Next, the Crew bring you the latest updates as it pertains to the upcoming season 2 of the Andor show, looking to be released late 2024. As part of that news, it has all but been confirmed that a certain beloved character from that show might be making a return... someone might have survived... there's only ONE WAY OUT of this one!
Moving on, Greg and Mike look to bring you a trailer that was released back during Celebration 2023 that they never got around to viewing until now. Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventurers, a show oriented towards young kids, will be hitting the Disney+ platform on May 4th and the two of them look to bring you their trailer reaction. Whether it will be for us or not, it will be fun to watch either way!
Finally, since Greg hasn't been able to join in awhile, we take the rest of the time to discuss season 3 of The Mandalorian and explore his thoughts and opinions about how the season went.

Prior to jumping into #TheMandalorian episode, they first take some time to talk about some interesting, we'll call it, accountability as it pertains to recognizing "mistakes" as it relates to the sequel trilogy - specifically #TheLastJedi Though, this admittance doesn't come straight from #Lucasfilm nor #Disney, the fact this person recognizes it says something.
The Crew then reveal the recent results for the #VideoGame bracket chellenge along with the next matchups for the competition to determine the greatest #StarWars video game of all time!

A few weeks ago, the DetBlock crew were asked a thought provoking question from Prisoner 001 (Jordan). He asked, "Does Star Wars live in books?". For this week's episode, Dustin and Mike dive into this question to not just provide their insight on what great content the books contain, but to also promote the different works they've read! Furthermore, being that Dustin and Mike have read much of the High Republic material, they discuss their thoughts on the new era of Star Wars Disney and Lucasfilm look to expand into.
To wrap up the episode, the two provide the results of the next matchup within the Most Influential Star Wars Movie Bracket Challenge, which brings together #4 Return of the Jedi vs #12 The Phantom Menace. A lot more awesome insight from guests the Crew bring into the conversation!
