Where does social media rank among the top inventions in society, is it the top, near the top, or the scourge of society. We here at Detectivery SOM, think it might be a little bit of both. It both helps the world out in so many fantastic ways, but yet at the same time causes so many issues and anxieties for so many people. Criminals take advantage of social media, law enforcement uses it as a tool to move an investigation along. People use it to stay in touch, some use it to send pictures of their genitals to each other, umm, sure okay, yeah lets do that. Where does it end, where does it start, how do we contain it...where is it headed to. Well, here is where we come in, join us as we discuss the pitfalls and perils of social media, how law enforcement may use it, and how it may be used against you by an ex-wife. Grab your cell phone and a soft drink, and peel open a healthy dose of Detectivery State of MInd..don't worry we don't curse to much in this episode, at least that much. Hope you love the show!!!!

The adventures of John "Liver Eat'n" Johnson...yup, quite a nickname. You may know him as Jerimiah Johnson, from the Robert Redford movie made in 1972 titled Jeramiah Johnson. The story of this her fella, is nothing short of legendary, and most would agree, a bit of villainous debauchery. Let's just say, he had a bit of some vengeance, revenge, and or hate running through his blood, after the unexpected murder of his pregnant wife. Some would say they had it coming after murdering his wife.
In the 1840's, things were just a little different, lawlessness, war, racism, and rampant killing were synonymous with the times. John "Liver Eat'n" Johnson did his share to add to the chaos. He made enough noise, to land himself into the history books. Some grade school students back in 1975 believed him enough of a legend to have his body relocated to Wyoming...yeah, that happened...we have so many questions...
So saddle up, as we head on in and take you on this ruckus journey across the wild, wild west! After you listen, make your call, is John "Liver Eat'n" Johnson a hero or villain - email us your thoughts to [email protected].
If you must, email us your captivating thoughts to [email protected]!

Bigfoot, the story of the giant creature who has stalked the woods, fascinated our minds, and invaded our nightmares for decades. We take a dive into the fascinating world of Bigfoot, and the many stories that surround this fabled creature. We answer the question, is Bigfoot a serial killer...we have the tall task of taking this topic on, and it gets a bit harry. You say, Bigfoot can't be a serial killer, because that requires Bigfoot to be human...has anyone captured a Bigfoot...nope...so how do we know it is not a humanoid creature who prays on the unsuspecting backpacker.
Ahh, it's all just speculation, forethought, a bit of research and dangerous amount of reckless knowledge. We take a look at how a Bigfoot murder scene might unfold if you happen to be working as a police officer and stumble into one...yup, it will probably be 10 minutes before your shift ends...it always is.
If you were wondering, yes, Detective Burke discovered Bigfoot porn is a real thing...the invention of the internet is now questionable at best.
So, grab your slippers, a hot cocoa, and a Snickers bar and jump on in for a hollering of a good time!
Here are some places to go if you want to learn more about this elusive creature:

Keep on keeping on, keep your eyes peeled in the forest...has anyone ever seen a Bigfoot driving a convertible, if so, send us an email and let us know if you have had an encounter with Bigfoot, or if Bigfoot took your Snickers bar.

In this episode we take a dive into the ever spiraling world of movie remakes and reboots, some ask why, others say no, some say why not. We say why not, when you can easily just say no, and how about we don't. Join us as we grab some popcorn, and a tasty beverage and saunter down the movie lane with our own demented and twisted world of movies that should just not be remade. To include a list of movies, we really had no idea were not original ideas, shocker. So sit back, take a listen, who knows you might learn something about your favorite movie, or learn something about a movie you've never heard of which will turn out to become your favorite movie. No one in the movie industry was injured during the making of this podcast. Oh, and yeah, we do talk about some cop shit in here as well, so there is that too. Enjoy, watch movies responsibly, and no the hole in the bottom of the popcorn bucket in your lap is not that funny, especially with a dollop of fresh hot butter...good luck. If you don't get the reference, you should probably go ask your dad what it means...

Sources say Grandmaster Flash - White Lines released the song the same year as the LAPD launched the DARE program, and it was not associated with the LAPD...or was it, other sources say LAPD DARE program used the track in the early 1980s as part of their campaign, as it is an anti-drug song?
