Daelin Arney is a Product Designer and Student – currently working in SLC for the firm IP Advertising and Promotions while completing a degree at the University of Utah in Sustainable Product Design and Development (a custom degree crafted by Daelin and advisors). Daelin’s approach to sustainable product design is centered on the use of materials that are recyclable, biodegradable and have limited impact on the environment during manufacturing, such as various bioplastics and mushroom fiber composites. Quinell began his journey as a creative entrepreneur roughly five years ago, with expected spurts and stops, until landing on his current business venture that fully compliments his creative and artistic talents. EP 19: PETER MAKOWSKI
Peter Makowski is the Acting Director of Business Development for Salt Lake City’s Department of Economic Development. While working in the outdoor recreation industry for 7 years, he attended the University of Utah where he earned a Bachelors Degree in City and Metropolitan Planning. Upon graduation, he spent 4 years working in the Business Development Division of Ogden City, specializing in marketing, real estate, recruiting and retention efforts, community development finance, and small business assistance. He managed Ogden’s Small Business Loan Program, the City’s Business Information Center, and served as Executive Director of Wasatch Community Funding CDFI.
Peter is a Salt Lake City native and an active member of the community. He enjoys the outdoors and moonlights as a musician.
